Is there a WoW model editor? A program in which I can just mess with colors, sizes, all that jazz?

I think he's speaking on a different program than the Model Viewer. I'd hope there was something like this out there, as I've always wanted to replace the critters with the Demon Hunter model, or more recently C'thun's eye stalk. (How scary would that be, seeing C'thun's eye every time you wanted to speak with a quest npc.)

He said model editor.. as in something to edit models. No such thing exists, nor will it ever I'm sure. There is no point in making one. 3d Studio Max is a model editor. Poser is a model editor. Why reinvent the wheel? Besides which it would be hard as hell to make one for almost no benefit. It's against the TOS to import that stuff into the game anyways. Technically you can swap out models but then only *you* can see it. So while it might be cool to run around in epic armor or as a High Elf or something, it's only for your viewing. No one else will see it.
Actually creating new models or modifying existing ones (hence the "editor" part) would be quite difficult and not worth the effort in my opinion. I mean, look at WarCraft 3 as an example. That is a game that can be modded. You can actually make new models and put them in there without a ton of effort. But people just use 3d Studio Max to do it because to write an editor specific to that game would be pointless. Blizzard released art tools but all they do is interface with 3d Studio Max to make creating/importing the model easier. So yeah, I wouldn't expect to see one.

Cantus understood what I was saying. And thank you Warlock for the answer. I've heard of 3D Studio Max before, how would one procure this program? Is it free? Expensive? Crackable, haha?

It's very expensive and has a very high learning curve. If you've never done 3d modeling before you're probably not going to be able to use it. It's quite difficult to do.

There is also Maya we used that in College. It’s not as hard as 3d Studio Max at least I didn’t think so. We had the opportunity to use them both, each are about the same price around 600 plus, you have to get licenses fees and shit which is like 150 plus. So I wouldnt recomend getting into it unless you really trying to focas on getting a job with it. Just to damn expensive and u really should go to some classes to learn it.
