Been looking at some of the reviews of this game and have been thinking about buying it. My Xbox 360 is dead right now, got a new replacement DVD drive showing up in a couple days to get it going again and was thinking about buying this game after I get it fixed. What do you guys think of it?
I've read its a knock off of Zelda oT and God of War, but both of those are awesome games, so it can't be that bad. |

The game is awesome, I have played it a bit and I simply love it.
I suggest buying it, really.

Torn between this game and Borderlands.
I figure Ill get this one though since my friend has Borderlands and thats more of a multiplayer game imo. Without XBOX live I have no multiplayer ability. Ill probably end up waiting for Dantes Inferno though. |

I like it is a great substutite to GOW 3 as it won't appear on the X360.
This game combines God of war and Dynasty warriors forms of gameplay without being too repetivite as it also has puzzle solving in it as well. Not sure I want to buy Dante's inferno through......I think this game is better. And yeah I tried the Dante's Inferno demo and I liked it but this game is even better.

A friend of mine picked up Darksiders last week about the same time I picked up Bayonetta. He said he's already sick of Darksiders and wishing he had gotten Boynetta instead. Boyentta is AWESOME!

It's the new 3rd person action game (similar to games like Darksiders and GoW), created by the same director that made the Devil May Cry games. It actually reminds me a lot of Devil May Cry, only a LOT better. The graphics are outstanding(there are several times when it seemlessly transitions between a video cutscene and actual gameplay and I didn't even notice the change...) You can chain pretty much ANY attacks you want into combos, effectively giving you the freedom to make your own combos on the fly to fit your own needs at the moment. Similar to DMC you can acquire new guns and melee weapons through-out the game and, hell, even craft your own items such as "potions"(they're actually magical lolli-pops, rofl), for healing, restoring magical energy, boosting your damage, etc. It has some puzzle aspects to it too but nothing to the extent that the DMC games got to. They can get somewhat challenging but not to the point where you are just pissed off and want to quit playing because of it. Best of all, for you Xbox fans, it's been released for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

Not one mention of gunboots?
I rather enjoyed Darksiders, or as my friend refers to it "God of Zelda." It was a bit cheesy in its attempt to be bad ass at times though. Uriel was pretty awesome. Last edited by Ded Chikn : 01-26-2010 at 05:24 AM. |

I can't understand how anyone would enjoy Borderlands. It's restrictive, boring and repetetive.

Yea, Borderlands got pretty boring pretty fast. I found I had to make myself finish the game just to see how things turned out and then once I got to the end, the end made me so mad I went to GameStop the next day and sold it...

Well, that's a way to make pretty much any game enjoyable really.

I think its the adventuring aspect. It could also be the art style which I really liked. |

*a hole in space opens before you, revealing the shadowy form of a long forgotten sage.*
Darksiders rocked. The storyline is good, the characters are sweet (one of them voiced by Mark Hamil), and the gameplay rocks. I only wished that it had lasted longer. I am looking forward to the sequal whenever it comes out. Do yourself a favor and buy Darksiders, you won't regret it! I'm also planning on getting Dante's Inferno this month. *the hole reopens and sucks the shadowy form back into the ground.* |
