A reboot would mean losing everything that anyone likes from the beginning of WoW onward, and a doubling-down on the tired old things that we don't like, mainly the faction conflict and very boring...

That seems like an awful lot of work when there is a much shorter alternative...just go through the ashran portal in grommash hold / stormwind keep, and you'll get dumped right into your future...

I find it both funny and a bit tiresome how people forget that warcraft 2 had internal combustion engines, and extensive modern oil drilling and refining technology. WC2 tech was pretty 20th century.
