We are also getting human, tauren, gnome, goblin and dwarf skeleton mobs. A nice complement to the orc skeletons we got in WoD.

I hope the human ones replace the old vanilla skeleton model (the one that wears paints for whatever reason)...

The updated Quilboars are in too, and there is something REALLY interesting about the model...they have separated eyes, animated too, just look.

http://www.wowdb.com/npcs/3266-razormane-defender

It's really uncommon to see separated animated eyes in normal creatures, not even the Vulpera have them, allied Quilboars would be too much...right?

I don't sympathise with the High Elf brigade at all but in what world was it necessary to pull the topic as far from its original point as you could to slug someone with an insult on their personal preferences? Awesome contribution.

On topic: So now it seems like the Alliance isn't even claiming Undercity? If the pattern holds then Blizzard appears to have effectively deleted two faction capitals for a net zero lore advancement to either side. What an excellent use of dev time.

Vol'dun has a Kul Tiran outpost and Stormsong Valley has a Horde outpost. I'm guessing those will be your hubs when visiting the other faction's continent.

Oh no two capital cities that noone visits at max level are gone.
it also is two capital cities that hasnt had much development or been centered around for several expansions aside from minor story quests. But hey even if they are used in lore it sucks.

I mean I personally visit Lordaeron and undercity and darnassus everyday where i spend all my freetime.

How dare Blizzard destroy this city, like they have with Blasted lands theramore Silithus.

Why cant they just implement a npc from oh i dunno lets say the bronze dragons which lost their power but they didnt for some reason (plot) that could reverse time.

But hey this is blizzard and they have nor would they ever DO THAT.

I noticed those too.
I think those are our starting bases on the opposite continents. From there we stablish other camps/outposts with flight paths in enemy territory.

I'm interested on how we reach those bases. Will we just "teleport" by asking an NPC to sail us there, or will we see the return of actual transportation boats?

I'm hoping for the later.

It's almost like they could have used that dev time to flesh out Zandalar/Kul'tiras/anything else that would actually add something to the grand scheme of things instead of just reiterating the tit for tat arrangement of perpetual non-victories that is all that can ever result from dredging up another faction war in an MMO with players on both sides of the equation.

Dont really know how it will look post patch, my guess is that teldrassil is just removed from the map or something like that.

But i dont think it cost too many resources.

I think the true pay-off for losing Lordaeron/Teldrassil will only come over next expansion(s)' content. Just like the loss of Varian and Vol'jin and the storyline from Stormheim were lead-in to BfA's content, rather than having heavy influence in Legion itself.

At the very least, they shake off the status quo. I'm interested in seeing what will happen with the night elves.

We'll see how it goes, but fighting Quillboars in Kul'Tiras is kinda disappointing.

Also, do you think theses outposts mean that the Alliance will ally with the Sethrak and the Horde with the Quillboars to secure a base on the other continent?

Ah, very clever. The "wait and see" brigade is already getting ready to move the goalposts again for when the expansion details confirm the worst (or rather the usual) for Night Elven development.

"Wait for the beta"
"Wait for the full release"
"Wait for the next patch" (x3)
"Wait for the next expansion"

Like I haven't already seen that for the past seven years. But moving then to the next expansion before this expansion's beta is even out? That's innovative!

I was hoping the Legion-related allied races would have some sort of important role in BfA lore, but so far there's no mention at all of any of them.

I don't much follow WoW and especially not the WoW community but it seems that the Horde will be the baddies again AND might get second rate content. If I was still playing I'd be furious if that happened. Hordies were super pissed to be dumb baddies (though some were only angry about the "dumb" part) and if it happens again along with subpar content (like Horde often got pre-Cata and arguably later)... hoo boy, there will be hell to pay. There might be whining as bad as Alliance Cata whining.

Or not, maybe things are not as simplistically bad as I imagine and maybe the community doesn't care as much as before.

I'll also point out that we are facing Azshara and there is a sea right in the middle of Kul'Tiras. Maybe a raid/dungeon there?

And please, I hope we don't get not-Vrykul/more humans as an allied race... The Alliance ones are already lackluster enough...

The alpha build added "Kul Tiran" to the same area where the original allied races were datamined back in 7.3, it's all but confirmed.

Also, a guy on MMO-Champion went through file names and found something interesting.

A long list of maps under the naming scheme "8.0 WF (zone name)". If we assume WF stands for War Front, then these zones might be warfonts:

-Durotar
-Mulgore
-Barrens
-Dustwallow Marsh
-Feralas

Warglaives aren't going away. I wonder if that means they'll be made to be usable by non-demon hunters.

So, pretty each and every new model looks neat.
Especially love the dire blood troll model, the troll lich and that undead tirassian Lord.

Also, it's awesome that we get warfront sets for each armour type: I really was hoping for it :p

Y'all are delusional if you think Blizzard won't visit AU Draenor eventually. Y'all believed we wouldn't be having another faction conflict either.

These models, especially the KT and Dire Troll females...

I think kul tirans are a nice change. A burly, yet civilized, "race" for the Alliance that makes sense.

I just wanted them to be called "tirasians" instead, as older lore called things that came from Kul Tiras.
