And the worst part is that it wouldn't even have taken much effort. A single turn-in quest to a well-known Draenei figure such as Velen, Ishana or Fareeya showing the Draenei/Lightforged in Azuremyst receiving Night Elf and Worgen refugees would've been a start.
At least they're now showing Blademaster Telaamon doing something in Nazmir in 8.1. While not nearly enough, at least we're reminded that they still exist.

Is that when Turalyon is the Alliance commander?
At least playing as Alliance, I've not seen a lightforged unit in the battlefront yet.

You're missing half of the game by not playing Horde.

As someone with 120s on both horde and alliance, this is soooooo Wrong.

You are not missing out on anything other than story scenarios but you can get those by just watching videos.

So no.

99% of all quests are neutral.

In small news that makes me happy, in the latest PTR build they changed the blue/red scorpion mounts from the Alliance/Horde BfA commendation vendor to krolusks.

I wanted a krolusk and the achievement ones would be out of my reach for a while (because solo and whatnot) so being able to get one from it makes me happy.

This is not right. If you care about the story, then playing one faction severely reduces your perspective of the whole game. There are several neutral questlines, but the majority of the quests are for just one faction.

I just leveled my 1st Horde toon, and it was nice to actually see the story of Nazmir and Vol'dun (still need to do Zandalar and the war campaign). The entirety about Uldir and G'huun is lost if you are playing Alliance.

I agree whole-heartedly! I only just finished leveling my Alliance toon and I’m pleased to actually have experienced the story, and I get a lot more from it than I did just watching YouTube.

So, one of the Chinese leaks awhile back said that at the end of BfA, players will have a choice to go neutral in respect to the factions if they're level 120.

Sound plausible or not? I'd love such an option.

Given the Leak track records?

Gonna go with a No from me.

Leaks are just people grasping at smoke and mists and occasionally some are right.

Many of the supposed chinese leaks are also infuriatingly vague and riddle-like, not to mention the whole translation from chinese to english.

I'd say its not likely but never say never.

Honestly, if there’s one thing that’s gone right this expansion, it’s War Mode, and I’m saying this as a guy who regularly gets his digital ass kicked whenever I have it on. It’s also the one game system that they can just leave in, as opposed to reintroducing it a patch into next expansion. I don’t see them getting rid of War Mode......... ever. So if they’re going to try and cram in a third faction, no factions, no faction conflict, neutrality, etc., you will have to tell me how that’s going to work with War Mode.

9.0:

Go neutral and group-up for activities with the opposite faction.

You don't fancy neutrality and prefer the bloodbath? War Mode is there for you.

That Chinese leak for WoD did make sense retro-actively after we found out details.

Sounds simple enough. How do you represent that in Story? Are the ones with War Mode on renegades fighting the War while ostensibly the factions are at peace? Is it the other way around?

Are we talking about three modes here? The two that we have right now plus diplomacy mode? Or will the current non-Warmode become the Diplomacy mode?

Skirmishes. The factions are at peace but there are volatile elements in both. Not exactly renegades, but not with full governmental backing either. I'd love it if they could work "War games" into it somehow. Maybe for the Battlegrounds.

Guys, it's just too early to have info about 9.0.

Rather surprising that Kul Tirans can't be Mages, considering...

On the other hand, they can be Druids AND Shaman. It's almost like they're Tauren.

Might be some form of thematic thing, to reinforce the idea that organized magecraft in Kul Tiras is culturally monopolized by the exclusionary, NPC-only Tidesages and their spooky tentacle church.

Plus if Kul Tiras had its own equivalent to the mages of Dalaran and Stormwind, it would arguably make Jaina going to Dalaran seem a bit pointless in hindsight.

That is true, but I assumed that Dalaran attracted promising mages from all the other six human kingdoms. Even some from Quel'Thalas and Gnomeregan.

It's weird because frost mage is the closest way you can RP as a tidesage.
Yeah, I know that shaman works too, but shaman uses mail and attack with lava and earth spells as well, so it doesn't feel very tidesagey neither in looks nor spells.

Oh, and Zandalari paladins are confirmed. Cool! I hope this helps people that don't want to be neither tauren nor blood elf.
