She gets a novel. She changes personality-wise. How can you do that when dead?

Fuck that.

Give the Alliance Stromgarde and Gilneas and stop making the Alliance bases complete shit compared to the Horde ones, Warsong Hold vs Valiance Keep, Dragonmaw Port vs Highbank. This is retarded.
And thus ushering in the first of the Alliance vs. Horde bitchfest. Thanks a lot, Erthad.

Ok I must admit that the (slight) possibility of Jaina getting hurt caused a brain fart...

This does make total sense. Her main tie to being neutral with the Horde (Thrall) is now only nominally part of the Horde at all (if that, since he has now become a Malfurion-type character with powers far beyond that of most mortals). With what has happened in Ashenvale and the Southern Barrens, it makes sense that Garrosh would move on Theramore. The next book is about her. And if MoP is truly going to focus on the Alliance/Horde conflict, there has to be a large catalyst for it.

Y'know, maybe we'll see even more support (in-game of course) of Garrosh from the Horde with him removing a vital threat that's only a few feet from his doorstep. Maybe hoping too much...?

Theramore was its own kingdom. Jaina's voice-overs were a counter to Thrall's. It was a major location in Warcraft III.

...It is sad to hear it is going.

Will Garroshmar be built atop the ruins of Theramore?

I like it from a story standpoint, and it makes sense.

But I don't think it's good from a gameplay standpoint... unless it's rebuild or retaken or something?

I hope there's a new town built to replace it. Maybe on Alcaz Isle?

I also think this ought to go hand in hand with a forsaken defeat in Arathi.

While this will be hard on the Alliance initially, I bet it will come back to bite the Horde in the ass later on. I just can't see how this won't cause a rift between Thrall and Garrosh and even possibly in the Horde.

Does this mean that they're going to be demolishing Stonard? As I recall the only reason that wasn't phased was because the Horde needed a counterpoint to Theramore.

And please don't talk to me about Bilgewater Harbor.

I do think Stonard should go... but more pressing than the portal, is the boat.

I wonder what would Thrall think about it. And would he try to stop the conflict?

As for Stonard, I'd rather see it rebuilt to honour the oldest Orcish city on Azeroth. The ressurection of Stromgarde seems to me like a nicer "Alliance counter-event".

This could go either way, really. I mean, most of the Horde isn't as stupid as Garrosh and they know who Jaina Proudmoore is, that she helped the Horde numerous times and, quiet frankly, could be a major threat to said Horde if pissed off. So either Garrosh gets more supporters for whiping out a near Alliance-port or it's going to lead into a civil war because he pisses off all of the Horde's allies. Or both, which would be the only good thing i see in all of that nonsense.

If that boat goes and isn't replaced to someplace like Northwatch I will hate life, walking from Darkshore to Tanaris is a bitch also how will questers get to Southern Barrens?

This means that the Alliance would be losing its doorway to Southern Kalimdor, which means that they'd need to be given land to compensate.

Here's the original quote. Let me translate:
The whole war will be ignited during the world event which leading the game into Mist of Pandaria. Theramore will be destroyed and the leaders of Alliance were outrageous at this matter and completely devote themselves into the war, which reach its peak on the continent of Pandaria. The Horde and the Alliance literally fought on the homeland of Pandaria, which pissed the pandarens off.

Quote:
Most of the pandarens are neutral characters. And some of them thought the Horde and the Alliance only brought doom to their beloved homeland, and have enmity against both factions. The players pandarens are in a different group. They departed Pandaria long ago and choose their own path. They choose their own faction when level 10, so they don't have a faction leader.

Rotal, most of the Horde hates Jaina. They see her as having broken the treaty by moving infiltrators not just through the swamp, but into durotar.

You're out of touch.

EDIT:

Erthad, explain the Darkshore Tanaris thing to me. That doesn't make any sense.

Northwatch is IN the southern Barrens.

This reminds me suddenly of something I saw on MMOChamp months ago in the game files that I believe (and I'm not sure of this) that said something about an "Alcaz Island scenario". Since we are getting PvE scenarios as a huge addition to the game, and from the screen-shots they look to be focused on faction-on-faction fighting, I suppose it would make a hell of a lot of sense for this to actually be something we are going to see. Theramore survivors retreat slightly North, with the Horde hot in pursuit???

I can honestly say I didn't see this coming.

It's an interesting development gameplay wise, and possibly story wise. Now I'm wondering is whether it'll happen in the upcoming Jaina novel or whether we'll get to see it happen in game.

It's Rotal, not Henric. And is it sure that it's on Jainas orders? For all i know they are generic North Watch-soldiers who would probably come from Varian after Garrosh ignited the war again.

Also i find it weird that Blizzard seems to keep going back and forth whether or not we ARE at war now or not.

My question would be... how? The Alliance would have to lose S.Barrens and Northwatch Hold for Theramore to be open to attack and last I checked they were doing pretty damn good in S.Barrens and Northwatch was secure. I mean they even broke through to get forces to Stonetalon. Garrosh pulls more Magnatur out of his butt?

Come on now. If done well it could work, I guess. But really this will just piss off Alliance and the "Alliance rage/whining/HORDE bias!1!" will multiply tenfold.

And really, Theramore is destroyed ... lets go to Pandaria!

Very interesting stuff. Cheers for the translations.

Lucky save for the Barrens it seems. If Theramore's sufficiently out of the picture, then Orgrimmar only has one viper threatening its neck instead of two.

1. They're wearing the Theramoore Tabard, doesn't matter if they're from stormwind on Varians orders, the orcs are going to hate Jaina for it.

Do the valley of trials quests.

2. where have they gone back and forth recently?
