I assume we all like yellow text, specialy when it's from what it seems are the trophies of Arthas, taken from his most priced victories. Let's take a look, shall we? owner: Terenas II Royal Scepter of Terenas II "Though broken and corrupt, you can still make out the royal seal of Lordaeron." Owner: we can assume it's Sylvanas's Oathbinder, Charge of the Ranger-General "A grotesque skull now rests atop the blade. Etched in blood across the axe head is one word repeated ten times: SUFFER." Owner: we can assume it's Muradin's Mithrios, Bronzebeard's Legacy "Beneath the Scourge corruption you are able to make out a faint inscription: ...cry with me in the unified voice that will resonate to the throne of the Lich King himself! FOR THE ALLIANCE AND FOR KHAZ MODAN!" owner: I'm thinking Mal'ganis or Yogg'saron. Heaven's Fall, Kryss of a Thousand Lies "A lying tongue hates those it crushes, but a flattering mouth works ruin." owner: Either Terenas or it was his. Havoc's Call, Blade of Lordaeron Kings "Let our enemies know that havoc calls and that with its song comes their end." owner: The Silver Hand. Wielder unknown. Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand "Paragon of the Light, lead our armies against the coming darkness." owner: Sylvanas or other, it's unlikelly she carried it as she had her bow. Fal'inrush, Defender of Quel'thalas "Thalas'din belore." owner: kel'thuzad Bloodsurge, Kel'Thuzad's Blade of Agony "This world will burn." owner: Antonidas. Archus, Greatstaff of Antonidas "Six ornate runes encircle the head of the staff." The 10 man also are named as trophies but they have no yellow text. Owner: jaina? Halion, Staff of Forgotten Love Owner ??? Pugius, Fist of Defiance Owner: Illidan. Stormfury, Black Blade of the Betrayer Owner: N/A, but Arthas was in the invasion to Kalimdor. Tainted Twig of Nordrassil Owner: Kael Tel'thas, Dagger of the Blood King Owner: Those dwarves, maybe muradin. Troggbane, Axe of the Frostborne King Owner: Uther Valius, Gavel of the Lightbringer Owner: Terenas? Warmace of Menethil Owner: This is definitivelly Sylvanas' Windrunner's Heartseeker Now, the question is, is there something important in those? The model and item of choise doesen't seem important, but the names were clearly carefully chosen, so maybe there's something to them... Note that those are Arthas's belongings, not the Lich King's, else there'd be nerubian things. Well, it seems Antonidas's staff doesen't have much to it par example, but take Sylvanas's thing: "A grotesque skull now rests atop the blade. Etched in blood across the axe head is one word repeated ten times: SUFFER." Who wrote that? Was it Arthas, as a reminder to Sylvanas she should suffer? Or maybe since Arthas had it, it was the other way arround, Sylvanas wrote it for him knowing he'd keep it? What about if under his control, she wrote it? That coule mean she did it because she was suffering, by order of the LK's voice in her head, intended as a message for those she'd kill with it, or for Arthas... Kel'thuzad is very simple, "This world will burn.", but when would he had wrotten that? I'm thinking Arthas would have taken that when he slayed him. I'm not sure how evil he really was at the beguining as in what was his motivation.

![]() That spear might not belong to Sylvanas, may be Arthas used this to torment her.
Kel'thuzad knew the legion's invasion. |

![]() Halion, the name of one of the 10 man weapons is also the name of the Dragon boss coming in 3.3.5 in Ruby Sanctum. Whether that's related or not, I don't know.

Also considering Mal'ganis doesn't represent any other weapons I'd bet that was a trophy from Arthas' original corrupter. |

![]() I like the lore touches they put on those items. The Muradin one is pretty classy.

![]() I just wish they had made a custom model for each weapon... making them all identical to the ones that already drop through-out the citadel was kind of lame...

![]() Yeah. Call me a QQer, but something about reskinning items that were introduced in the same raid no less then a few weeks before hand is just lazy. I don't care how many artists are being used for Cata, that's just lazy.

![]() Generally, all models dropped in a single raid reflect their origins within the raid zone. Most of the drops in, say, BWL looked like they were made by dragons or orcs, even if they weren't (ashkandi is a great example). All weapons from Ulduar looked suitably titanic. All weapons from ICC look like they were made with the undead in mind.

That would seem to be the case for Bronzebeard's mace. |

![]() In the sense of their appearance, not in some evil taint that causes undeath or misery (though certain items with "energy" like Ashbringer can be corrupted.)

![]() In the Blizzard Insider interview, I think it was, they said the story behind the Lich King's drops would be that he had looted and pilfered various weapons from noteworthy lore figures, and had defiled and corrupted them over the years.

![]() Makes sense. I collect "relics" from important events/people in my life to remember. If i was an evil king with his power, i would do that ten fold. Probably do something like have a hall with a noteworthy enemies' weapon/shield and their soul trapped near it; just so i could see them now.
