Default What from AU Draenor should we keep?

Many people in the fanbase would have the entire concept of WoD scrapped, I on the other hand am an optimist and believe that even though their is a great deal wrong with the concept there is some tidbits worth carrying along.

Perhaps I carry an unpopular opinion, but I actually liked Warlords of Draenor. Not for the grand overarching story or game mechanics mind you; I appreciated it more for the world building and glimpses into the lives of the races on Draenor.

I feel as though there is a lot of good to be seen and observed in WoD if you ignore the terrible overarching plot and game mechanics. So I have to ask, what did my fellow posters on Scrolls of lore find memorable and enjoyable about the experience? Is there anything from this expansion you would like to see factor into later expansions?

Holy fuck can we let WoD die already? It doesn't have to be retconned but it doesn't need to be brought up every expansion outside of Legion. Every Draenor thread triggers me.

Skyreach and the Spires of Arak lore.

Yrel.

Orc clan distinctions (Shattered Hand's history, Shadowmoon's aesthetics, etc.).

Breakers and Shapers lore.

Point of contention: How do we feel about Pax Imperia Ogres?

Fixed. We should go find MU Yrel.

Who should totally become a villain. Shadow Paladin of the Burning Legion.

If I remember correctly, main universe Yrel was Maraad's close friend or beloved killed by the orcs. I recall parts of this background story were cut, though, so no idea what shape it's in now.

Regarding WoD, I'd consider maintaining the Spires for the most part, although there was a lack of the Apexis' presence, so we still have only a faint idea of what they were like. Clans, especially Shadowmoon, got themselves some aesthetic distinction and bits of backstory, which is always welcome.
Draenor itself looked all right. A shame they had to cut many interesting places and plots.

I'd actually also like to see the Rangari again in some capacity as I thought they brought some interesting diversity to Draenei culture. I was actually a bit sad to see none of them in the hunter class hall, though I suppose you could always headcannon the Draenei hunters present there as Rangari.

Can we keep all the free money I'm getting from stacking all my alt's garrisons with treasure hunter followers?

The story in WoD was handled very badly due to some problem where they had to cut stuff, but I really liked the backstory and lore it gave us. Such as the ogre empire, the breakers and primals, draenei society and cities at their prime, arakkoa with an epic feel and story, and also orcish things, like the Shadowmoon having a prior relation to the void and necromancy through the Dark Star, cool lore for the Bloodeyes, and Doomhammer backstory.

Aside from the whole alternate history stuff I think the lore is pretty fine. It's basically pre Outland lore.

Pretty much this, tbh, could do with some depth to it, but I imagine that will happen in Chromicle Vol. 2.

I don't like the idea of cherry picking something from AU Draenor. We have to keep everything, no matter how much we may want to discard some parts of its legacy. Worse, writing it off the franchise would be both cowardly and stupid.

But stupid and lore goes now hands in hands in WoW, so...

You'd think, but it seems really odd given that Yrel was supposed to be a major character and she is not even in some capacity present. Ity's like they just forgotten some of the new characters they introduced besides Khadgar.

Hopefully, if we ever return to AU Draenor (Goria?) there won't be the problem that happened to WoD and the characters will be well developed.
