Jinyu are uplifted Murlocs that wrap themselves in a veneer of wisdom and mysticism but really just make up everything on the spot, while Hozen are a bad joke with no punchline. Both occupied time that could have otherwise been spen learning more about the Pandaren and denying the Horde and Alliance catalysts to another pointless conflict.

The world would be better off without them.

I'm gonna have to go with jinyu here. They have mounts that run accross water, which is just enough to win out against monkeys dropped by pterosaurs.

Jinyu are kinda boring, so I chose the happy guys. At least they're happy guys.

Also, monkeys > koi.

Look at how these quest-takers and mercenaries seek to divide us. They would pit the hozen against the jinyu, or the gorloc against the wolvar or the gnoll against the murloc. They would kill us all if they thought there might be a few trinkets or coins in it for them. Shame! Shame, I say! For divided we are weak against these brutes and conquerors, but united we are strong. Only together can we hope to stop these monsters before the Alliance and Horde have trampled over every race of Azeroth that got in their way.

Only the Mongrel Horde can save us.

Jinyu. Because I hate monkeys.

If it were up to me we'd wipe out all the monkeys, chimps and gorillas before they started becoming competition.

If Hozen had been more like those kind of apes I'd like them more.

Or like Grawl from Guild Wars 2, they look badass.

I don't find Jinyu terribly interesting but I think the concept of an aquatic race to be a lot cooler than just another furry race. I don't think Jinyu are too much like Night Elves and don't really get where that comes from, they seem more like a race with Japanese culture inspiration and a slight bit of Draenei and Dwarves mixed in because they can have psychic visions and are excellent blacksmiths that invented some method of being able to smelt steel underwater. (Which is kinda cool to me.)

I think they should have been explored much deeper in MoP, I don't think we got to learn about them half as much as we did with Hozen.

More like India. They've got the sacred waters, the caste system is pretty much the same (albeit without casteless), and their sense of dress would fit in quite well.

Also, the skulls of enemies for ceremonial magic is something a few Indian lords actually did.

Not really seeing it. Shoulders are bulbous rather than flattened, helmet looks nowhere close to a samurai helmet, robes are generic Dharman and the forehead thingie doesn't look like anything (seriously, what is that?). The smaller leg armor looks kinda japanese, but the rest isn't even close.

Jinyu always reminds me of the Twilight Princess design for Zora. I'm not sure why since except for being fishmen they don't really look any way alike. It's specifically the TP ones too, not OoT/MM's or the more bestial design from older games.
