Default half-elves vs half-orcs - pick your side

Because I just realized we had the other four, so why not go for the full set?

I see a lot more half-ogres than half-orcs.

Are half-orcs even slightly popular?

In the context of WoW? We had Rexxar.

Garona was retconned to Half-Draenei.

Heck, we don't even know if Half-Orc/Humans exist given that they were an RPG creation.

Eh, the Garona retcon hadn't happened when half-orcs were added to the RPG (which had them as one of the playable races around the time TFT came out), so I wouldn't call them an 'rpg creation'. Kind of in a weird spot canonically though.

But just as with the previous ones, this is broader than just the warcraft universe.

The uruk-hai are the most obvious example and they've been one of the main playable races in DnD in every edition but second, both of which combine into being decently prominent in fantasy fiction.

Do uruk-hai also count as half-elves?

Depends on whether orcs are elf-descended or an attempt to create one's own breed of elf.

As far as I know Uruks were possibly Orc-Men.

One idea for the creation (or rather perversion\corruption since only Eru could 'create' life) of Orcs that Tolkien had was that they were twisted and corrupted Elves but as far as I know he wasn't (necessarily) decided on their origins.

I far more support half-elves rather than half-orcs. Even in DnD the latter mostly involved rape if I recall correctly.

I like them both, specifically Half Elves like Bretons from Elder Scrolls and Half Orcs in D&D are the closest thing to playing an Orc so that's what I'd roll in a game of D&D.

I'm just going to pick half elf even though I hate Eldar (just die already) so much.

I just don't have any experience with cool half-orc characters.

Uruk'hai are just orcs as far as I am concerned.

To be honest, Bretons are more like 1/100th Elf than Half-Elf.
