It's been said the best lies are mixed with truth. I think half of what Ill'yagoth is saying is false (the "three lies") and others are true. But I think that even as we stop the Legion we may free N'Zoth. N'zoth is the big bad of the next expansion

I really think the "Her heart is a crater and we have filled it" is referring to Jaina and her Theramore-shaped hole in her heart. I think we're finally going to get to fight her.

I made a Blizzplanet article on my thoughts about some of the lines. Read it here if you're interested.

Wasn't it confirmed in Chronicles that the Curse of Flesh is the work of Yogg-Saron?

Yeah, it was specifically Yogg who infected the Forge of Wills.

Your column actually inspired a tinfoil hat theory...

Her Third Death:

I wonder if instead it refers to a 3rd world-shaking event to come. Sundering, Shattering, <insert new name here>. Let's say that the Sundering and Shattering were "deaths" to Azeroth. When the landmass was blasted apart in the Sundering, the Well of Eternity, the bandage-on-the-wound so to speak, became the Maelstrom. Who can say how that affected her? Then, the Shattering, which also caused significant damage to the world, but Deathwing emerged from the Maelstrom, too. Maybe one more big bump is what sets N'zoth free.

Old Gods are cool and everything they do is a group work. Even if it isn't

Weren't there hints of possible rivalry/mutual hate between the Old Gods back then? I recall something like that.

From Warlord Zon'ozz in the Dragon Soul:

Quote:
Countless ages ago, Warlord Zon'ozz and his soldiers waged endless war against the forces of C'Thun and Yogg-Saron. Millennia have passed, but the warlord still serves the chaotic might of the Old God N'Zoth. Deathwing has now unleashed this legendary faceless one to crush the defenders of Wyrmrest Temple.

From MMO Champion:

I am now 100% convinced N'Zoth will be the antagonist this or next expansion.

Maybe she's talking about the Rift far below the Maelstrom. Perhaps that is what the Rift of Aln was. Since it's so connected to Azeroth, the wound the planet suffered from Y'shaarj would be so great it would appear in the dream.

That could also be what the "crater that we have filled" would be. The naga down there probably have been busy.

Yeah, thats what i said in the liftoff thread. I'm thinking next xpack will be a race against time to save Azeroth from corruption. We'll probably fail to save her but there'll be "a bit of his spirit dwells within every hero of Azeroth, every mage who picked up a wand...."

I honestly think that Kosak was trying to lowkey trying to spoil us. Things change through development though, maybe that will too.

Huh, so this seems like actual secrets and not just eldritch psychobabble.

Doubt it. Warcraft isn't bleak enough, so I think we WILL save Azeroth at a price.

Can we just pretend Kosak was on actual crackrock when he posted that? If we don't acknowledge it, maybe it will go away -.-

I dunno, when I picture Sargeras Raid encounter, Azeroth empowering the raid and making them giant to fight sargy is pretty much one of the only ways to go anymore now that the 'titans are planet sized' thing is canon.

The third death thing probably refers to Eillsande, who 'dies' 3 times by reversing time on her first two deaths. Also I feel like "Lord of Ravens" could tie into Odyn, as well.

Jaina being possessed by Old Gods confirmed.

And the raven thingy made me think of Anzu and the Arakkoa. Weren't there Old Gods involved in that whole Sethekk storyline?

An Old God took over both the Outcasts and the Sethekk at some point. There are a few hints on Draenor, but no cults yet.

Lord of Raven could also be Malfurion ( based on his appearance at least )

So basically it somehow confirms the 4 chan leaks.

- Magni thinks Azeroth speaks to her, but she his corrupted, under influence or hijacked.
- He asks for the pillars of creation to repel the legion
- The legion won't be repelled by the pillars, it will only open the way for N'Zoth and his armies, and they will repel the Legion while we will be helpless.
- There will be a ritual probably used inside the tomb of Sargeras who will involve the pillars, and malfurion / Kadghar or else will finish it , opening the prison.
- Hell will break lose on Azeroth.
