He directed "Moon" and "Source Code" which are both awesome movies that you should see. Needless to say I fucking approve. Last edited by Porimlys; 01-30-2013 at 06:31 PM.. |

![]() Duncan Jones is an unexpected but welcomed choice, with him directing and Charles Leavitt writing it certainly has the potential to not be a huge disaster.
I'm eager to hear more, we'll seeee. Last edited by Porimlys; 01-30-2013 at 06:37 PM.. |

![]() The real question here is how they will do the humongous human mustaches in real life.

![]() I actually loved the Source Code. Good to know we aren't getting the bottom of the barrel. Still, even if it was directed by Peter Jackson and written by a crack team of genetically modified, super smart chimpanzees, I would still be terrified of the project as a whole and almost hope that it never came to be.

![]() I'm willing to measure my expectations on this, because Jones doesn't have a tentpole film to his name (which Raimi did) but I was pretty impressed with 'Source Code'.
I'm certainly interested in watching the production of this film, but I don't think there's anyway to truly judge it's quality until it gets released. Script, direction, casting, and editing all play a big part in the ultimate effect of film, and with something as big as World of Warcraft, it's something that would be a challenge for any director. If anything, I expect something with as much fidelity to the franchise as Golden's books, especially with Metzen on as a producer. It's not going to fix all the problems that some people have with the franchise, but that's not what it's meant to do: a WoW movie is a platform to tell the story of Warcraft in an epic fantasy film, and businesswise acts as a two-hour ad for the game. I expect it will do exactly what it's intended to do.

Mutterscrawl: Who even knows by now Friend: No Friend: From Med'an's pov Mutterscrawl: No Mutterscrawl: Oh god Mutterscrawl: I'd have to Mutterscrawl: Drive out and stop it Mutterscrawl: Get a team. Mutterscrawl: Warcraft's 11. Mutterscrawl: Secretly infiltrate Blizzard's HQ on the night of the premier. Mutterscrawl: Steal / Destroy it and replace it with a bunch of machinama clips. Mutterscrawl: So for team comp I'm thinking Warrior and DK tanks, Shaman and druid healers... and then a mess of mages, warlocks, hunters, and rogues for dps. Mutterscrawl: MANY DEVS HANDLE IT!

![]() We are pleased to announce that Duncan Jones, director of critically-acclaimed films Source Code and Moon, has signed on with Legendary Pictures to direct the upcoming live-action film based on the Warcraft universe. Click here for more info. Blizzard, I hope you follow this. Also, notice how it says "Warcraft" and not "World of Warcraft"?. Good sign, this.
