I just made a new Fantasy map. Is GW gonna sue?
You don't have ripped off nearly enough other fantasy settings for GW to be able to do so.

The "new" aelf factions are just the old that has been crushed and split into small splinters. Nothing new at all.

Tyrion the blind and Malaerion kidnapped Slaneesh and kicked it's belly so that it barfed out "Aelves".
Suddenly there was Aelves around and they were exactly the same as before the End Times, just splintered into many small groups.

Alith Anar, a great elf if not one of the greatest elves. He saw Malekith's true form as the worst of filth.

All of these changes, millennia of history and rise and fall of human civilisation but the elves were just simmering inside a deity's belly adn then got barfed out in the same shape as before. Utterly disappointing.

This can only be be salvaged if 40K and AoS is told to be the same universe and Slaneesh being caught has an effect on 40K as well.

They kidnapped Slaanesh.

They. Kidnapped. Slaanesh.

Huhu.

Hum.

Let me try to process this.

Slaanesh, the God of Chaos.

Gods of Chaos who are literally vast sentient "conceptual" swath of the Realm of Chaos.

So vast, boundless and big a part of the Realm of Chaos that, generally, when one refer to "Chaos", it refers to the four of them, because they literally suck up almost all of it around their respective core concept. With bits and bobs left for sneaky little bastards like the Horned Rat.

How does one - or two in our case - exactly do, to kidnap that ?

Well, that wasn't the most retarded thing. Mind you, Tyrion and Malekith beat up a hung over slaanesh and made it throw up when it was engorged on souls and they had a wind of magic attuned to them

No matter what they say, Gotrek and Felix were canon.

eh, see I liked the lore about malekith being the true phoenix king. It was a nice twist.

Also, tangentially. Does anyone listen to the chaplain and the grey knights when they are playing as paladins?

Slaanesh probably let it happen because s/he is into that sort of thing.

The thing about chaos gods is that they don't let go of souls. A deal's a deal. Slaanesh gives you a futa horsecock and you give him your soul. You don't get to go back on it.

But what if you bargain your soul to another Chaos god after that?

GW pls.
Psh, that's hardly different from what Blizz and other fantasy setting owning corps do it.

This is a large map, the first book had a closer look at the brimstone peninsula. The other places in the story of aqshy hinted how people survived. Even in the Realm of Metal, where seas are made of metal have edible fish.

We still don't know what happened to Slaanesh and the Aelven souls inside, since there were already aelves in Azyr before the kidnapping, and these factions are mostly like descendants from those Azyr Elves. (It's been hinted that Slaanesh is being eaten by the aelven souls from the inside)

After the world-that-was was destroyed, slaanesh overeated aelven souls and hid in a cave to digest it all. Got busted by Tyrion and Malerion which kidnapped it, directly disobeying Sigmar, which was another reason why the Great Alliance fell during the Age of Myth.

Their followers still have their powers, but cannot gain new blessings, unless Slaaneshi daemons can grant blessings. The Hosts of Slaanesh faction is basicly divided into three factions, which are the Seekers who want to find Slaanesh, those that want to replace Slaanesh and follow one of the Greater Ur-Slaanesh daemons, and those that just want to rape and pillage.

It's a big theme in Age of Sigmar, where deities are less abstract and more physical, but still have a more meta-physical portion. There is the larger Khorne that represents everything to do with Khorne, and then there's the avatar that is literally sitting on the throne. Skarbrand attacked Khorne and caused a chink on his armor after being manipulated by Tzeentch. Which is what makes it this whole Slaanesh is kidnapped interesting. What happens to a Chaos God that loses it's avatar? It's implied that the next greater daemon in line gets to replace him. Like does Kairos in Age of Sigmar plans to overthrow Tzeentch?

Quote:
so whats their new lore?
Of the Aelven factions?

* Order Draconis is a militant army of nobles and heroes that ride around on dragons. They have lots empires and lot of them retreated to Azyr during the Age of Chaos. With the Age of Sigmar they are leaving Azyr and connecting with the surviving empires while liberating the territories Chaos has conquered.
* Wanderers are mostly nomad wood elves and that want to use Leyline magic to restore life into the realms. They once had jade kingdoms, but because of the mistrust with the Sylvaneth they had to go to Azyr. Sylvaneth only like them slightly better than everybody else.
* Phoenix Temple are basicly an army of war-veterans, whose minds have been broken by war and need to be dying to join. When aelf veterans are dying, they are brought to the phoenix temple and go through a ceremony with a phoenix that heals them. The cost is that they become "cold" and most obey the temples of the Ur-Phoenix.
* Scourge Privateers are raiders, pirates, but mostly monster hunter. They have a navy that goes around kidnapping all sorts of monsters to be sold to the other armies as war-beasts, or sold as components for the more magical armies.
* Order Serpentis, is like order Draconis, but darker. They prioritise the survival of the order at all costs and have pretty much played with the DNA of their dragons to make things like hydras and Drakespawn(cold ones).
* Shadowblades is a mysterious order of assassins, which represents aelven idolizations of grace. Nobody knows where they come from, through there are rumours of long-forgotten gods that gave some members to Sigmar. They can hide as anyone and anywhere, and when the sorcerous black curved blade mark appears on the skin of their victim they know they are going to be killed soon.
* Lion Rangers were an order of monks located on the most distant and isolationist temples. That didn't protect them from Chaos, so they got pissed off at the concept of cities and walls. In Azyr they've become essentially an order of survivalist warrior-mystics that live with nature. They all wear enchanted lion cloaks.
* Daugthers of Khaine are a cult of Khaine worshippers that are particularly known for being scary, and keep themselves eternally young by drenching in blood and gore. When they gather the Medusae and cauldrons of blood follow. They dwell in the lower reaches of Azyrheim.
* Eldritch Council is an alliance of aelven elementalists that unlike humans have natural instinct of using magic. They like the Collegiate Arcane inhabit the floating towers located in Azyr.
* Darkling Covens are personality cults that follow unnaturally charismatic sorcerers that refused to submit to the Eldritch Council. They originally inhabited Shyish and Ulgu, but like everybody else have retreated to Azyr. They can recruit anybody, but mostly prefer aelves.

EDIT: Forgot one:
* Swifthawk Agent are Deathwatch for aelves, taking members from all kinds and their tactics. Except they focus on messengers, scouts and outriders and ride on chariots pulled by giant hawks.

That's criminal but unsurprising considering the models were taken out of the store.

For some dumb reason.

It still grinds my gears that end times would have been the perfect setting to restart WHFB.

I love how GW will respond when neckbeards buy TW:WH and want minis as collectibles

"No, buy our new sigmarines instead."

Also, anyone know where I can get a steam tonk?
