Yeah, but it's Chaos. They get more shit than everybody else. On an almost yearly basis.

I hope Vampire Counts will get to look like , well, Counts. Instead of mutated bald bat in armour.

And less skulls and bones please. Nagash, the Mortarchs and Morghasts looks fucking ridiculous. Those guys look like they belong to Warmachine's Cryx.

They are jokingly referred to as domesticated beastmen.

Let's be accurate: Khorne gets more shit than everybody else. GW only has a tangential memory of the other three Chaos Gods, one of whom is a big fucking rat now. I'm not a big Slaanesh fan, but I'm with Archaon - the Great Horned Rat is no Chaos God I would ever follow.

Could be worse. You do remember what happened to the Tomb Kings, right?

Hey, Nurgle got some pretty cool shit too.

Horned Rat is best god. Skavens are greatest people. You are right, turn your back on Him, man-thing, it'll make the back stabbing all the easier :p

They went into space ?

Actually I would be fine with that. Space vampire counts for 40k.

That some of you guys are fine with Age of Sigmar is surprising to me.

I'm still waiting for the races I care about to get new models. While I like Warhammer's lore, it's not really that important to me.

Which races would those be, by the way? Ogres? Empire? Lizardmen? High Elves?

Tzeentch will be getting a boost this year with the new boardgame being all around him and said to have birdmen beastmen.

Great Horned Rat is the most interesting as an ascending deity (through I would like to see some of his non-skaven worshippers), most focus has been on Pestilens and his Corruptor aspect.

Tomb Kings were squatted.

Seraphon, Brayherds, Six skaven factions, Moonclan grot, Dispossessed and Steamd Head Duardin and Soulblight faction.

Here's a bit on the Moonclan.

The lore's there, but I want to see new models. So far, AoS's models haven't really impressed me/been to my liking.

So far, the problem is that I find the models over the top, in a bad way (Fireslayers and Chaos) or far too Space-Mariney for my taste (hello Stormhosts). Let's see the rest before judging, but beastmen as bird leave a bad taste in my mouth, it will be over the top in a bad way again, I'm sure of it.

Yeah pretty much. And I don't know what the fuck is up with Age of Sigmar and obese lizard mounts. Also Stormhost looks like Darksider's angels.

I would be fine with all of them, if their gilded armoured ass and manly oiled muscles weren't sitting on the grave of Warhammer Fantasy.

Skeksis beastmen ? I mean, it would stepping on the toes of the Lord of Change design, but if you want Tzeentch to go "bird bird bird", you might as well use an already working concept.

Next week is strigoi/ghouls.

You know, ghouls are probably one of the creepiest creatures found in Warhammer. Even worse than Skaven because, unlike Skaven, they were once humans.

Holy shit. I hadn't realized how fucking horrendous the French version had become. They are not even translating the names anymore. My eyes need bleaching.

Also : missed opportunity to get rid of all the ridiculous spikes and bone piercings on the ghouls.

Having began Warmachine, it is less of a problem, because all of the units names and nicknames are kept in English, even in the VF of the cards and rules. However, in the case of WH and 40K, it hurts because I was used to most of it being translated, beyond the Chapters' names.

And those translation were overall pretty good. I remember reading warhammer stuff in English for the first time, and realizing then that the French translators had actually done a pretty good job.

I wonder how some of the AoS stuff could be translated. Some of them would be a fucking pain. Soulblight, Steamhead, Stormcast.

Yaskaleh, I swear this to you: When the first major DLCs come out for Warhammer Total War and the Elves get introduced, then I swear to you that I will cut Malecunt the Bitch-King down as Tyrion for the sake of all Elvenkind.

Fuck the Endtimes. Fuck Age of Sigmar.

And Edgelord Archaeon better watches out for me too.

What's an ogroid? Something new, or do I just need to learn more lore?

New apparently

Quote:
Ogroid Thaumaturge
Save for its versatile master, no being in the Silver Tower is more feared than the Ogroid Thaumaturge, a monster torn directly from a primordial nightmare. He leads the cultists and the savage beastmen of the Silver Tower, in their rituals as well as in combat, throwing the Gaunt Summoner's mortal minions in endless battles, shaking the dungeons of the Silver Tower - all for the frivolous amusement of their demonic master. Ill-fated is the adventurer that encounters this monstrous magician while turning a corridor, as he charges, head lowered like an engraged beast, his hooves and fists grinding any hero too slow to evade, and engulfing all others in the supernatural multicolored flames of Tzeentch.
