Religion
Most Beastmen seem to worship Chaos as a whole. However some of them worship one of the four major gods.
Beastmen warherds who devote themselves to a single God acquire mutations which eventually shape them into the favoured images of their patrons.
Khorngors, the Beastmen of Khorne, bearing the favoured colours of the Blood God, have skin and fur which is brazen in colour, in some cases almost metallic, and their eyes are milky white with red pupils. Many are hound headed with fierce jaws and fangs which drip with saliva. The most favoured bear horns which take the shape of Khorne's skull rune.
Slaangors of Slaanesh have pastel coloured skin and fur and often bear luxurious fur capes and looted jewellery which contrasts strangely with their bestial natures.
Pestigors of Nurgle are racked with disease and malformations yet retain the morbid vigour of their patron god. They often bear a single horn.
Tzaangors of Tzeentch often bear exotic markings and patterns and fantastic colours such as tiger stripes or leopard spots.
All such devoted Beastmen will mark themselves with the rune of their patron deities, carving or daubing the symbols into their armor, and painting, branding or tattooing them onto their skin and fur.

Quote:
Tzaangors
The Tzaangors are ancient beastmen, devoted to Tzeentch, that the architect of change has remodelled more to his taste, replacing their snouts with a beak, and endowing their rough skin with shimmering feathers, ruffling their necks with tentacles, similar to those of the Horrors. Under they birdlike appearance and their armor of surprising quality for beastmen, the Tzaangors haunt the cursed halls of the Silver Tower to flush out the heroes and the weaker occupants of the Gaunt Summoner's realm, eager to satisfy their violent impulses. They close on their prey in a flood of beaks and blades.

Ahh, good. I thought that the new appearance applied to them all.

I wonder if the others will also get neat new appearances, so GW can sell us lots of beastmen.

fun fact, the first mutated beastman in the BL tie in novel is a tzeench worshipper, and becomes a birdlike creature.

Yeah she dies in her gardener aspect and is turned back into a seed. That seed is then planted in a soil where many heroes died and protected by stormcast and sylvaneth, hoping that she would be reborn in her war aspect. According to that image they seem to have succeed.

Eight days and a good night's sleep until Total War: Warhammer gets released. The hype train has no breaks.

*Waiting for the inevitable Ulthuan/Naggarond DLC*

I need a new PC to start the great Age of Reckoning, smiting the Greenskin hordes from the frigid North to the southernmost points of the Badlands. Grobi and Urki filth.

the NDA has dropped so people are dropping all their videos on YT for Total Warhammer.

It seems like things are abit better? Not like the disaster which was Rome IIbut i suggest you judge for yourself.
Still being utter scum for making Chaos a preorder or first week buy "bonus" espescially since the timeline their in is apparently The End TImes and the Storm of Chaos where Chaos plays an important role.

One of the legendary heroes you can play as is Archaon the Everchosen.

Strippin and JP streaming for 12 hours at a time without desyncs.
Its as good as it is going to get.

If you don't pre order chaos, you can still play against them.

Also, I seriously hope none of you play Archaon. We get sigvald AND Kholek suneater.

I should have sold my pristine wood and high elf minis.

Nobody's gonna want a finecrap Alarielle and her handmaiden now.

On the other hand, her handmaiden looks sweet, and it won't be available anymore...

I don't think that would make sense. Order itself is about both restoring societal and natural order to the depravity that chaos brought to the realms. "Forests gone wild and killing everyone in sight", fits more with themes of the GA of Destruction. Fire is really just how Order.

I like that there are 4 Alliances and how their themes remain united. More than 4 and it would be too split to be viable without creating more splits. Less than 4 and you might as well make no Alliances and just rely on faction system of the past.

You could say Fire is industrial, and wants to defeat chaos by burning forests for their forges. Nature in the other hand believes the way to restore order is to destroy all technology. Destruction is just about breaking stuff, zero nature involved, and Death is, well, death.

It could make sense just fine, with each faction developing its own gods, counterparts to the chaos gods.

Order has just too much stuff in it. Dwarf, elf, human, and lizardmen themes don't fit together in any proper way.

Why call him Heldenhammer, if they're gonna translate it as Orc-/Goblinhammer instead of Heroes' Hammer?

Because the dwarves called him Heldenhammer which meant goblinhammer for saving their high king's life. That's also how he got Ghal-Maraz.

Yeah, but if you're gonna use a German word, why not use a word that actually means what you want to say?
