Taking bets, is this Jiffy's secret origin, or mine?

In all seriousness: Oh fuck.

So what are the odds this backfires horribly on Jillian?

TV's already on edge as is. I can't imagine "We're doing operational stuff and boy are you going to be surprised." is something they really want to hear.

That was very funny, a bit too convenient but funny.

That engineer is going to be trouble. In serious denial about Scoundrel leaving the ship to Bandana.

That exposition was so hamfisted, even though it was meant to be ironically hamfisted it was still grating.

They've got even more reason to be nervous, now.

The over-poweredness of that bracer strikes me as increasingly odd.

Eh? Odd that you would say that after perhaps the first time it has failed hard. It's not only that Jillian does not have any intention of attacking soon knowing her it is quite dubious she would attack Don even in the long term yet the bracer gave 60% odds that she would attack soon.
Does it lack information? Or is it actively lying for Fate as it did in the Battle of Spacerock.

It is true though that the bracer is very strong and Benny has been using it better than Parson has in a long time. But it's predictive powers are limited by what the user, possibly his side, knows. And as we've seen just now, it can be objectively wrong. Though it's powers are still a bit hazy, it should certainly see even more use to further establish what it can and cannot do.

I think if Benjamin had asked it something like 'if we do nothing, will Faq attack us?' then he would have gotten a more correct answer. Transylvito is now going to preemptively strike at Faq, which would cause a counterattack to their counterattack.

But would have Transylvito attacked if the bracer hadn't said that? Probably not, in fact I am not sure they will attack even now. The bracer shouldn't include the influence the calculation it is currently calculating has on itself. That is both illogical and would likely cause some extreme result due to infinite recursions.

To me it makes much more sense that the bracer made a bad call based on limited information.

Orb of Lightning Guilded Age

As a reader of a webcomic, I still find that flaw charming.

I don't have the foggiest. I mean, nothing we've seen really points to Charlie being a Titan, but maybe Parson knows more than we do.

Or maybe he's pulling some kind of stunt, which would strike me as unwise right now.

Or maybe he's just waxing poetic.

We'll have to wait until Monday to find out. Unless they cut to another scene again.

All good points, my take is that he is playing along with Don's assumptions and trying to manipulate him. But saying Charlie is a Titan just as a figure of speech could work too.

And they better damn not throw in some random diversion as the next update. It is beyond frustrating and a genuine (and worst) issue for the comic. My IRL friend I recommended it to got very turned off by the meandering despite liking the work overall. Admittedly a big part of the problem is the Webcomic format where you get a page only every few days. In a finished book where you can just flip to the next page in no time it's much less of an issue (but still an issue as noted by my friend's dissatisfaction with book 2).

Reading "Stand Still, Stay Silent". Writing style is a bit odd, but concept is fairly interesting.

Erfworld: Huh. So Parson was neither waxing poetic nor pulling a stunt.

He might still be pulling a stunt. It looks like peace might be in the cards after all.

That's fair. Transylvito may be taking Parson's claim at face value and thinking Parson truly believes as much, but we don't have to.

If Parson knows of Don King's turn towards the religious, this might still be a ploy of some kind. Presumably, Parson has spent some time reading religious books, or at least had them summarized to him. It'd be rather weird for a geek like him to avoid something called "Book of canon", especially after he got into actually using the sign-o-mancy he could figure out.
