Well, today was more messed up than yesterday. Fuck my life in the arse.

Yesterday I continued my eternal job hunt, to no avail, but there are a few prospects I'm optimistic about even if it's fucking dishwashing.

Then me and my buddy picked up some beer (Red Chair, mmmmm) and started in on Kingdom Hearts 2. We've been playing through the whole series... sorta. We were going to play all of them but we said fuck it to Chain of Memories (we had it for the ps2), I just can't ass myself to master that card combat system. We just wiki'd the important story stuff and moved on

My experience of Scotland has been mostly in small villages and most of the people there were pretty friendly. I know the cities can be worse because there's a lot of people who are just there to drink.

Nah, they're friendly. But it's a vastly different culture, to be sure.

New York obviously has one of the most diverse scenes in Amercia if not the world, but when most people describe clubbing they mean R&B or Electropop dance clubs with girls in stupidly glittery dresses and overpriced bottle service. I only go to those if I can't avoid it, but every so often a fmily friend or god forbid, a work associate will have a party there. I always look out of place since at this stage in my life I only wear black leather to social occasions.

Then there are the hipster clubs- I hear the people who go to them are nice enough and despite my hatred of hipsters they tend to have really good liquor, but I hate the kind of music they play there.

The punk scene is vibrant but intense, albeit a mite underground now. I'm not a huge fan of it but I have a lot of friends in punk bands- the people who go there suck and the booze is even worse, since they're so self satisfied and elitist, even moreso than hipsters! Unfortunately, I have a lot of friends in bands so I find myself dragged along to them often.

Unfortunately my genre of choice, metal, is pretty slim pickings here. There's some thrash throwbacks and way too much metal core that has been bleeding in from the suburbs, and the people who go there are pretty judge mental as well I'm too metal for every other genre but not metal enough for our metal scene.
