![]() Because not every random thought is related to the lore.
Gnome paladins that use artificial satellites to use the Light + new paladin skill "Heaven's Fury" = laser surgery done right!

![]() I'd pay good money for a Retribution ranged spec ŕ la oldschool D2 Paladin or D3 Crusader. Fist of the Heavens is my favourite skill, along with Heaven's Fury.

![]() You know, I love the icon work on the warcraft maps, but the lack of any icon for murlocs is kind of odd in its absence, considering just how much they have recurred.

![]() I hate Arrogant blood elf posters so much i wanna snap their necks like you would a coca cola cans thing at the top whatever that is called. I wanna shove that thing in the blood elf. I don't hate all blood elf posters though only the ones that take the high tower stuff overboard.

![]() Quel'Delar is a dragon-forged sword that was broken, reforged using the blood of an insane god, and tempered in a bath of pure holy energy. Upon receiving the sword, the first thing my main did was etch necromantic runes into the blade.
I don't know what combining all of those contradictory energies does, but I'm going to go ahead and assume that it makes the sword good at killing everything. |

![]() Quel'Delar being a Death Knight runeblade is my headcanon, and possibly part of my guild's canon, since I was the first one to get it.
But even if I omit that last part, it's still a holy/old god/dragon blade. It's either a weirdly powerful sword, or all the contradictory powers cancel each other out and it's just a really sharp piece of metal. Considering that at the time it was the most powerful weapon you could get outside of a raid, I'm guessing the former is canon. |

![]() Why would Old God and Holy Power cancel eachother out.
Has it been said anywhere in lore that Holy Magic is particularly damaging to Old Gods?

![]() Candlestick mages... I must know more about them... how do they use those candles in their magic? Is it fel? A subset of necromancy?
I dunno why, I just find them fascinating....

![]() I would kill for a sim game where you play as a Goblin Trade Prince trying to manage shipping routes, mercenary armies, smuggling, that kinda stuff.

![]() The Saronite reaction to Light suggests to me that the Old Gods aren't of Shadow or Void; that while they can use it, their nature is of neither.
Shadow and Void "devour" Light. The core of a slain Void God was reinvigorated by the Light to ignite the Sunwell. Yet when the Light was unleashed upon raw Saronite ore, it didn't absorb or devour that Light. Instead, it reacted by causing an explosive reaction. While the following is just a bit of personal fanon/theorycraft, to me that brand of "canceling out" came across less like the Void/Light dichotomy, and more like a matter/antimatter reaction. One energy mutually destroyed by a comparable "volume" of another energy that exists as its complete inverse to its entire nature, to the point of opposing the very universe which it comprises. Like an "anti-Light" and "anti-Void", that perhaps comprises the realm from which the Old Gods originally came and the essence of the Old Gods themselves. On that note, what if "Twilight energy" is drawn from both Light and Void, but not from the Light and Void we know. What if it's the Old Gods empowering their servants with the Light and Void that constitute the reality from which they originate? |
