The Democrats wanted to ban guns from people on the terrorist watch list denying them due process.

BTW French Legislative elections are happening now.
We'll get to see if he gets his majority or not.

Macrons party is completely new and has no MPs so we'll get to see how tied their hands will be.

EDIT: Nevermind it's just the First round.

Doesn't France have a lot of economic problems with high unemployment, slow GDP growth, and their public health insurance needing funding? How much higher can France raise taxes?

Another van attack in London.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a7796551.html

As usual, wait for the dust to settle. I'm wondering if this guy was on any lists like the last one, though.

Why van attacks of all things, though? I mean, could these people at least put some effort into their terrorism? It's insulting.

They're simple to pull off. You can cause a lot of damage with something you can legally own. It's big, fast and something that even a guy/gal on a terrorist watchlist could reasonably own without much in the way of suspicion. If you start looking up bomb making guides online you're going to flag up on an intelligence agency's radar, if you start buying materials for explosives then odds are there's people paid to monitor those transactions and in a lot of European countries getting hold of firearms isn't the easiest thing... and again, odds are you'll be on a list somewhere for it. I figure you knew all this already and were just being sarcastic but eh, details.

One of the biggest arguments towards mandatory courses on morality in STEM is that you're also handing people the power (aka education) to build those weapons without popping up on a watchlist. It's a scary thought these days given the fact you can do some serious damage just buying upper level chem textbooks.

I don't think you can fix morality with something as simple as a class nor are STEM people inherently violence without someone telling them murder is wrong.

Well, we live in a country where it can be illegal to be in "constructive possession" of certain restricted items like certain types of guns or explosives. Owning bomb-making guides is almost a grey area at this point.

Yes. It should also be noted that afterwards, the imam of the mosque protected him from an angry mob until the police arrived.

Trump had a good talk with Ukrainian leader Poroshenko. The US is expanding sanctions against those responsible for activities in Ukraine.

This is on top of the administration increasing the defense investment in Europe which the NATO secretary general praised.

NATO chief Stoltenberg on impact of Trump pressure: "Actions speak louder than words"

He even thought trying to prod free rider rations to invest more in their defensive capabilities ultimately helps the strength of NATO.

Woo, unemployed and bored out of my mind with a degree.

On the plus side hopefully our terrible Premier will get the kick soon before she can do her $15 min wage plan.

Otherwise it'll take forever to get even basic bullshit....

if you want to get anywhere you gotta get experience.
If you want to get the "proper" experience you gotta get a paid internship or two or three.
In order to be considered for a "proper" internship you gotta have some form of experience.

But yes T_T

Specialization? IIRC I believe it was international relations.
We have think tanks in the region which are specifically for that subject but it's just... you gotta have experience to get anywhere.

Beyond that, I put a bit of extra work into the stats stuff. You can take an extra course in stats at the final year but usually your required just the two in 2nd year.

Okay, I know you're Canadian, so... which province? I'm guessing not Ontario.

Didn't realize it was in June 2018 T_T but there's been rumours of a snap election potentially(?)

How do internships and stuff work at your school?

I know big companies like NASA, Lockheed, Microsoft, and Google come to Purdue to recruit Engineers. There are usually conferences for engineering interns too.
