Studio Pierrot is known for their shitty adaptations. Why people are hoping for the small chance the new Tokyo Ghoul anime isn't produced by them.

Check Made in Abyss if you haven't yet. Short, cute, pretty, and with a very interesting setting. Really recommend it.

The bit about stringing children up naked and humiliated as punishment kind of warded me out.

It's Japan. Some things never change.

It's odd and it's very very obvious what the authors fetish is in the manga but I'm able to overlook it to enjoy a great story.

The sound aesthetic of Mahoutsukai no Yume is brilliant.

Also Inuyashiki is addictive.

Yea The Ancient Magus' Bride and Inuyashiki have been the 2 best shows this season.

And we even get a nice OP from Man With a Mission

Though I find Magus Brides to be catchy as well.

Yea AoT has hit a point where I can't wait for each chapter. Tokyo Ghoul on the other hand is just all over the place. It almost feels as bad as your shounen manga that are forced to keep going just to keep bringing in money.

Yeah. I honestly would have preferred :re to actually end and have a timeskip like people thought was going to happen. Maybe things will pick up a bit now that Ayato's back on the surface but I dunno. I'm reading it every week but its more out of inertia again.

Also I'm now completely meh on Hide being back. His whole behind the scenes shit is getting really absurd, so there better be a good explanation. I could buy him being a perceptive kid like in TG but all that he's done since is just...its hard to swallow.

Either the ending will be all smiles and rainbows or this is like "comic relief" for a tragedy to come.

TG:re: Continues to be bland and kinda bleh but this chapter was a bit better, I suppose. I feel like the idea that humanity would look at Kaneki's kaiju form and go "Well, that used to be a man, so its not like a ghoul is destroying the city" is pretty fucking far fetched.
