Thaddius, I guess. Not really much that disturbs me, to be honest. I only mentioned him because he'd disturb me if he existed in the real world.

Soul stealing weapons

Fuck it! The undead in general are disturbing. And it's awesome.

Forsaken questing, especially in Cataclysm. The shit they pull off in Hillsbrad in particular. The lack of appropriate reaction can be added to it too.

Forsaken experiments. Hillsbrad in particular takes it up to eleven with shit like infested bears and Hillsbrad Fields. That bloody plot armour...

I'm not sure anything in this game is really disturbing anymore, it's retroactively gotten more and more childish the longer the franchise has existed, it's aging in reverse. Which that in upon itself is actually disturbing.

That being said, I'll be the first to mention the upside down sinners, the slaughtered family house on the Northaeron coastline, the Orphanage for Little Tykes. Which are only disturbing because of small details and their easter egg nature.

The lore on the other hand is written for kids 5 plus.

That's why I wouldn't mind Warcraft going grimdark. Of course, that's not fair to all the kids (and others) who enjoy Warcraft as it is, so those who like changes will just have to deal with it.

The answer to getting more childish is not grimdark because grimdark is dumb.

You can make it like it used to be.

And on that note, SoL is a forum I no longer enjoy. So, I'm done here. And I genuinely think the people who have absolutely nothing at all positive to say about the game and, the people whose posts are composed entirely of whining, really consider leaving (or at least sticking to non-WoW sections). Because if you truly get no enjoyment out of WoW, then why are you here?

With that said, goodbye.

Jitters' Journal should be up there. Especially for implying that the Sven Yorgen's family was not only killed, but torn into unrecognizable pieces. Yep.

Deathwing mating with the female black dragons after he went all molten-y

The rape camps that Gul'dan set up in order to breed his ubermentch.

Can't go without saying the Mistmantle questline in Duskwood, pre-Cata. Quite disturbing to see him slowly descend into madness...

After some consideration, I think that I'm just far too detached from all the happenings in WOW, so changes probably wouldn't really make a difference at this point.

Just look at the things MCA mentioned. I can see why this would be considered disturbing in fiction and would find it disturbing in the real world, but in WOW it mostly just flies past me.

Dragonblight, just the whole idea that the dragonflights would take refuge in the same area where their own race go to die is pretty morbid. That and all the stuff that goes on in the zone, especially quests revolving around the Forsaken and the Scarlet Crusade. It's really one of those zones where there's never a light at the end of the tunnel, and it never lightens up for even a second.

The Warcraft universe viewed as something real is a lot more creepy and disturbing than what it officially is.

Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether

Duskwood would be terrible to live in. Imagine sleeping at night when suddenly: "DARKSHIRE... I HUNGER!!"

Let's not mention the Dark Riders wandering around and Morbent Fel taking your relatives corpses for himself...

And Worgen giving birth to human babies and then immediately eating them.
