I love how that is considered the worse, when tbc had a woman whos only appearance beforehand explaining what she is was in a manga, then have velen pop in and cheer that the blood elves had their drug fix again.

But praising the WotLK ending is just ridiculous. It is totally nonsensical and the whole fiasco around the Lich King is when the lore really turned to shit.
I think lore turned bad way before that. The thing is that people were more forgivable of that since they still had a hope and patience, both accompanied by quite an enjoyable gameplay. Once those things evaporated (at different point for each other), they realized what Warcraft story turned into....a large sack of something smelly.

The worst of all? Fucking Archimonde is alive after WC3. What was the point of the whole game then?

Wreck the Alliance and set the stage for a part of them to be handed over to the Horde

Redeemed orcs and loss of immortality for the elves?

None. Honestly, at this point, I wish that the whole story/lore development wing would get replaced by someone caring and competent, someone who would ditch everything that happened after The Frozen Throne. Well, they could also ditch the Founding of Durotar campaign while at it, since it was only created to justify the whole WoW faction shit anyway and was never really good.

But that will never happen....so -.-.

Archimonde dies in Draenor, meaning he's still alive. Grom is still alive and everyone forgives the fact he just tried to fucking rape our faces for the last year. Gul'dan explodes and Archimonde does not. Both are still alive.

I don't think I expected anything less shit, honestly.

Can there be any more useless characters in these endings?

Wrath ending is still best. I bet Bolvar (lich king bolvar and scrolls of lordaeron bolvar) and Tirion are just sitting around and laughing at everyone.

You know, every expansion is like a breaking point for fans who still have faith in Blizzard's writing.

>mfw when people still defend Grom as being manipulated.

To save Archimonde and prove that the differences of the Alliance and Horde could be overcome? Don't get me wrong, I think Warlords of Draenor has had some pretty terrible lore, but I don't think Archimonde still being alive was one of them. It does make the Burning Legion seem like an even greater threat if one of their generals required vast loss of life and the sacrifice of immortality to just banish him.

Having Archimonde pop on Draenor and be defeated however could easily reduce the feeling of threat from the Burning Legion greatly (but then TBC did that already with a full invasion being defeated with conventional warfare).

Horrible, but I'm not surprised.

Of course everybody forgives Grom and the Horde Defence Force is already out in mass about why he should be let off the hook.

I hope you guys are looking forward to your new Warchief.

Khadgar survived though, which is nice.

WoD sure was for me.

I didn't like a hell of a lot of Cata's Lore, and I thought some of the decisions at the end of MoP were laughable, but I was still willing to overlook them as a setting.

The second Timey-Whimey-Blizzard-don't-even-know-what-the-fuck WoD's premise was revealed, it killed my passion for the Lore. The way things have progressed over the expansion, with constantly shitty Blue Tweets? That passion's corpse has been raped over and over.

Now, imagine a Warcraft film/series directed by Abrams with DnD as showrunners.

Evangelion was just really fucking weird, WoD's ending is just straight up BAD.

I mean I'm not even surprised it's bad, I don't think any of us are. I'm just surprised at HOW bad. I think like when MoP ended with the Alliance literally walking out of Orgrimmar, I think we knew it was coming, but a small part of me was still shocked that all our cynical predictions came true.

I can't fathom how people can keep whitewashing Grom this expansion. He killed a bunch of Orcs and Horde as well as everyone else. It's like an abusive relationship.

Blizzard is condoning domestic abuse.

Default Actually, it's because people love bad boys. Not just women.

Because, unlike other bosses, he doesn't do evil deeds because he's evil. He does them because he's convinced they're necessary.
