In one Silver Age story they were. But I digress. It's Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen and Superman. Although any story with Lucy Lane was also out there. She was the most horrible person in the DC universe at the time and she wasn't even a super-power villian, but the most awful person you could imagine and yet was presented as perfectly normal.

It's two separate series that were kind of in the same boat as superman spin-offs about unpowered supporting characters; Superman's pal Jimmy Olsen, and Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane.

If there ever was a comic book character that I just wanted to punch in the face over and over again, it was her. I have no clue what Jimmy saw in her and nobody ever saw a problem with it. But then again, Superman had no problem putting Lois down.

Silver Age was just plain weird.

See, she's not a monster. She's just ahead of the curve.

The Winter Soldier is probably the best Marvel Studios movie so far. You should watch it.

Watched it two days ago. The villains were far more interesting than the average IM villain, so you're probably right.

How long do you think the new lineup shown at the end will last? There's already 2 black guys and with Black Panther incoming, they will surpass critical mass. Captain America is actually the only white male on the new team. My guess is Falcon or Warmachine will bite it in Civil War, prolly Falcon because it's technically a Cap movie and we need that emotional impact for Steve. It would be cool to have 3 very different black superheroes on the same team though.

Vision will definitely get killed for the gem in his forehead, but maybe his "essence" will survive and he'll still be around.

Will Hulk meet up with the Guardians? Or Dr. Strange? Looked like he was going to space at the end. Maybe we'll get some version of the Planet Hulk arc.

Also, loved the foreshadowing in the "Don't take from my pile" scene.

Inb4 the first deaths and "dark" movies in the MCU happen when half the Avengers are black.

I actually rewatched it with the GF 2 days ago, it's much better than I remembered it. Just a very underwhelming villain (which all MCU movies have suffered from so far), but otherwise quite alright.

Oh, well, that sidekick chick is absolutely terrible. And Portman is pretty bad too.

I enjoyed seeing that Irish guy from The IT Crowd in it, and the bad guy is a former Doctor Who, so that was fun.

And seriously, she isn't even trying in those movies, her delivery is awful.

I agree though, it was definitely the best so far. Good focus on plot and arc.

Please, don't keep us in suspense. Tell us what your favorite Marvel movie is.

I thought Thor 2 was just okay, though the fight scene at the end was actually quite clever. Also, the bad guy kept making me laugh because he looked sort of like Vivec.

Also, they should just go all the way and make a movie based off of one of those "Superman's Pal: Jimmy Olsen" comics. It'd almost have to be better than what they're doing now with DC.
