Soos and the Real Girl is the closest episode you're gonna get to a Five Nights at Freddy's crossover.

I wonder what the deal with the Pyramid-guy is. He seems to be pretty important. Perhaps the Big Bad of the entire series? .

Pyramid dude is a demon I believe. Stan is the main villain though. Look again at how he acts. It all makes sense.

I've been considering that, and although I'm not entirely convinced that he's the bad guy, I'm also not ruling it out completely.

Maybe not the bad guy but he's totally aware of what's going on in Gravity Falls. He just pretends not to.

We found that out at the end of Season One, didn't we?

I'd be surprised if Stan gets out of this with a clean conscience. He may not be evil, per se, and he may have good intentions, but we all know what road those pave.

Stan's got some sinister motives going on, but I don't think he's the main villain. Both Cypher and Stan hint at a coming apocalyptic event, as does the existence of the author's bunker, so it seems more likely that he's reacting to that, rather than striking out villainous plots on his own.

So you might think, but his activities in the basement seem less preventative and more ambitious.

True.

Actually, something I've just thought of. The author clearly expected Gravity Falls to be directly affected by whatever apocalyptic event comes along. After all, he's preparing a hiding place for decades.

However, neither Stan nor Cipher expect the apocalypse to destroy gravity falls. Stan expects Dipper to grow up at some point, and all the talk about buying gold doesn't make much sense unless Gravity Falls survives relatively intact.

Theory: The author was doing something with the portal, and thought that it would eventually cause the apocalypse. He shut the thing off and hid in a bunker, fearing that the apocalypse could come at any second. However, Stan has found some way to prevent the damage from occuring near Gravity Falls, and has restarted the portal's original function, not caring what might happen to the rest of the world.

Well, as for Stan's motives:

(warning: this could be a major spoiler if this theory ends up being true)
there is the theory that he has a twin brother who he is looking for...

Well yeah. I think that's all but a given, considering how 'Stan' of the Past has been rendered two very different ways in flash backs, and also the pair of glasses in that quarantined room.

There is that, but there is also the flashback into Stan's boxing class: SPOILER LINK

Overall, just addressing the 'sinister' motives assumption. Reckless, for sure, but given the context of the theory I wouldn't call them sinister.

Certainly don't feel he's Evil. In many ways he was hoping to protect the kids from Gravity Falls weirdness and prevent Dipper's inclinations. His ruse is also to prevent Dipper from investigating his own schemes which I doubt are entirely sinister as well he's very wary of the kids being put into real danger. Stan uses the grumpy old man with a heart of gold trope as his primary characterization, it's shown time and time again. He does actually care for the kids even if he's directly a jerk to them, that's usually for their own good or at least he perceives it that way.

I keep thinking Robbie's gonna end up zombified.

Did they ever use the President's key for anything?

Besides the time they used it to free Stanley/Stanford?

Yeah because tbh that didn't have a lot of plot-relevance.

You mean a pile of gnomes. The scaryoki episode was pretty zombie heavy. I can see them doing a pet cemetery episode with Robbie.

Nah, not Gideon's husbands. She mentions the vampire in one of the episodes, but the viewer doesn't get to see him.
