Neutral Building Class Halls (AKA, Warrior Bitching) Thread

Which ones are your favorite? Least favorite? Are you hoping for an old group to be involved, or new orders? Which characters do you hope to see in your halls?

I'd really like to see more of the shaman one, but I really like the one picture I've seen so far. Is there an exploration video?

My vote will depend on whether or not they update Acherus. It's... nice, but a seven year old place with Vanilla textures that have rapidly become outdated cannot hold a candle to the others.

Needless to say, I am not holding my breath.

Thus far I really like what I saw of the mage one, and the Shaman one really looks fitting. Both are favorites.

Curious to see how the monks are, though.

The Warlock one looks perfect. The Priest one looks too Draenei but as a Night Elven priest I was never going to be happy.Don't play a warrior but can see why they'd hate theirs. The Paladin looks boring but suits their class so long as your not a Sunwalker.

You get the Draenor one, and what's wrong with it?

Peak of Serenity is getting fucked I think.

Serenity's End
The Council of Masters
An Infernal Destroyer has attacked the gathering! Defeat it before there are any further casualties.
The Cry of the Crane
Rescue Master Crane
Journey to the East
With Master Crane's help, reach the west temple grounds
Tangle with a Tiger
Chen Stormstout was leading a children's class when the attack began. Rescue him and the children!
Precious Cargo
Accompany Chen and the children back to the Temple.
Mastering the Odds
The Demon known as Jorvinax has opened a gigantic portal! You must close it before the Legion can turn the Peak of Serenity into a foothold.
Portal Problems
With Jorvinax dead the portal is left unguarded. Find a way to destroy it!

My instincts tell me Warlock, since I main one and they always get the coolest looking shit.

I like how the Shaman one looks as well.

To be fair, they are nowhere near finished, so what we've seen aren't fair reflections of the final thing.

That said, I can't see Warlock or Shaman being bad, they've got the most solid Lore to them and they fit every Race/Class combo just fine. What early stuff we've seen of them looks solid.

Druids are ok, given that we always knew they'd be heavily (or even entirely?) Night Elf themed, but that's acceptable for every Race bar Trolls, but Blizzard has never really addressed the whole Troll Druid's not fitting in with the Cenarion Circle+Friends thing so I didn't expect them to start now.

Hunters I haven't seen anything of yet but I think the lodge thing works, it fits just about every Race (some more than others, granted, but still) and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it.

I'd like to say Paladin but, while I like the idea of the Silver Hand/Light's Hope, I just can't get past the fact Tauren Sunwalkers make fucking zero sense. I can just about excuse Blood Elf Paladins given what happened at the end of Sunwell (and the bits of Lore we've seen/heard since on this point) but Taurens do not belong there and it's terrible for both Taurens (who will feel immensely out of place) and everyone else.

Warriors [as we've been discussing in the other thread] get the shaft, bigtime. Priests too.

I fail to see an issue with that, it's pretty badass and it's new. The draw to the place doesn't feel that artificial for Warriors if it's done right. Most of the Warrior races are Titanic to begin with, the others would follow suit given the nature of the thing. Everyone was so down on when I suggested they develop Fray island, I'm curious, what are your solutions? What would you like to see as a racially inclusive relevant location for this? What makes this so bad in comparison to some of the others which are down right lame, lazy, weird or irrelevant.

I thought this is what we knew so far:
Death Knight: Acherus which has relocated to Broken Isle
Demon Hunter: Mardum, a contested Burning Legion world fragment
Druid: Dreamgrove, located in Val'Sharah where druidism was born
Hunter: Some weird lodge in Highmountain where they makeout with eagles
Mage: Dalaran Tower?
Monk: Peak of Serenity? Given Druids and DK's it could go either way
Paladin: a place hidden beneath Light's Hope Chapel.
Priest: The really really dumb AU Auchindoun
Rogue: Dalaran's sewers... which is really really lazy and bad
Shaman: a hollowed out cave overlooking the Maelstrom, kinda lame.
Warlock: one one of the Legion's portal worlds, too similar to the DH.
Warrior: Valhalla, with an Arena.

Ok here's my issues with it.

1) While Auchindoun is holy ground for Draenei, it was an place of burial and internment for their body and souls. It was heavily sieged in the events of WoD and with the final acts showing what occurred with Teron Gorefiend it was largely corrupted and drained of said souls in the first place. It's basically a mess both upper and lower.

2) One of my biggest issues with WoD was the lack of basic follow through with geography and established architecture. Auchindoun wasn't the WORST of these culprits as they atleast remembered to include some of the outside crypt areas. I'd be much more OK with this layout if it was somewhere that existed in TBC and was updated. SLabs comes immediately to mind, if we absolutely had to have a place of power, it should have been that area. But it's not it's some new weird structure that looks nothing like an established place.

3) Draenei have and had ACTUAL TEMPLES devoted to light worship that were neglected outside of this, both minor and major yet the priest class has been placed in a damaged defiled graveyard which is some how now an important temple, more important that other actual temples. This is especially awkward and weird for non Draenei races.

4) The Temple of Karabor. It goes without saying that the seat of power for the Draenei religion and the literal seat of their now dead (not dead I dunno whatever) prophet resided (and should probably go back to). This is where all of this resides and it remained undamaged through the players saving it. They had already begun designing it and had layouts done for the main-chamber just unskinned. It was pretty much unanimous that Players absolutely hated they never got to go in. What they should have done is just made it the entrance hall. Kept the existing raid wing doors sealed, it's large expansive and would actually be good.

5) I mean, if it does have to be a very specific races religious hall in the first place, forcing the Draenei priest thing is sadly now the Status quo, they are now the masters of the religions and light + shadow worship it seems.

6) It's in the fucking past AU, that means people are going back to the AU to hangout in a sieged and soul drained graveyard. Again... that's just stupid. It detracts from the continuation of the world and is awkward as shit in both travel and reason. Theres like, these sweet Churches actually on Azeroth, if we can find an Order hall for Paladin's under lights rest, why not find something equally as awesome or relevant for priests...

7) Hell, given how MU Shattrath turned out, even central Shattrath would have made more sense if we absolutely have to do this idiotic AU Priest Draenei classhall thing.

8) My Alliance main was a Draenei priest (and my only priest) and I think this is really really bad... that's saying something, they made something that is supposed to cater to my toon type specifically and it's really short sighted.

Sonneillon,

Ad 1: I would not call Rogue Hall lazy until we see how it looks. It can still look great artwise.

Ad 2: Are we sure it is on Draenor? It could be a new temple built on Azeroth.

Dalaran has little to do with Rogues historically, their sewer system is a thing that already exists. It's pretty weird that an entire class would decide that they want to hang in the sewers of a magical flying city of all places. Even if somehow they rebuild it, it's still really really weird, why wouldn't they build somewhere not hanging out in sewage if they could or in a place you can actually build. It's not even that shifty a place or a shifty location. Literally any other ruined human city would do. An area under Ravenholdt which has been purged of it's former masters. A reclaimed Alterac playing off the reformed Syndicate. Theres better options.

I'm actually way more ok with a new church established on Azeroth merging the faiths than this horseshit, but rumor has it it's Auchindoun.
