If someone tries to garner attention to themselves for whatever reason, other people will proceed to chime in to criticize that person who garnered attention. The actual purpose, no matter how righteous it may seem, does not matter.

If woman goes around saying she's pretty/beautiful/sexy, men will crawl out of the woodwork to point out her flaws. (And/or stalk her.)

If someone here goes to the ranting thread and goes "man, my life is hard because of X, Y, and Z", others will jump in and say "yeah, well, I've gotten three Xs, five Ys, and also had Z happen during the third Y, and also people in Africa suffer from A through W, you goddamn pussy".

It's also why 90% of your posts, and mine, are mostly negative. Humans, and to an extent other animals, are hard-wired to focus on the negative.

I wouldn't.

Then again, I'm a shut in who happens to like where I live. And also a goddamned commie librul.

The Alliance's three rules on faction conflict:
1) You can't win.
2) You can't break even.
3) You can't leave the game.

If you had $20 million, you could be a shut-in on a tropical island instead.

Just sayin'

Honestly I'd just buy a house in the neighborhood I'm in now and fill it with nice things. I've never really seen the appeal of giant houses unless you have a giant family.

If I won the lottery I'd spend most of it on actually going to college

Crossed Swords (War2)

California has a problem with business's and the wealthy leaving California. The tax the rich bullshit is only going to make more leave, thus making the tax income lower in the long run.

Honestly? No. I like where I am.

Of course here I don't have to pay taxes on my lottery winnings.

Most wealthy private citizens never took a dime from the government that takes so much from them, and if they did, they've paid it back 100x over already. The notion that they "got theirs" from the taxpayers and "screwed them" in return is a leftist fantasy that even rich leftists don't adhere to.

1. That one rich guy that rather than leaving a tip, scribbled 'get a real job' onto a napkin for his waitress after a couple-hundred dollar meal.

2. Me.

Granted I'm pretty atypical in that I would literally stick it in a credit union and then do nothing different from what I'm doing atm.

3. The guy who owns the company that has hundreds of trucks shipping things from one end of the country to the other uses the roads more, and wears them out more than the guy who would take the bus/train if we hadn't dismantled all our good public transit to service the auto industry / highway folks.

Thus he should pay a bit more.

Each truck you see on the freeway pays about $10k a year in extra highway taxes. This is why they have all those weigh stations along the interstate for them. You know, the ones you get to drive right by because you're not paying all those extra taxes.

Try again.

Also, the more fuel you buy the more taxes you pay. Every time the trucks pass into a new state they have to pay tax on the amount of fuel they have in their truck.

We often go to New Jersey to stock up on gas because it's drastically cheaper there due to lower taxes.

Now seriously, who do you guys expect/want to be there as a guest artist this year?

I got this feeling about it being Lemmy this time.

You mean the proven fake photoshop reported by all the liberal news stations because no one bothers to actually check sources when they reinforce their worldview?

I went to the BlizzCon pre-party in 2011 and chatted with some of the WoW Insider staff. I live pretty close, so I'll at least think about going to the convention proper this year.

I always saw little reason in BlizzCon or similar gathering events, but at the same time a bit jealous, since I am unable to attend.

It is time they start pandering to their Korean audience and get a K-Pop act. I do believe Girls' Generation is tentatively set to release an English album this year...

I recall seeing a picture of Lemmy with Samwise. Apparently he goes to this bar where every US Rock/Metal star goes. Seen a picture of him with Hulk Hogan too

Everyone always suggests Deadmou5e (or however it's spelled). I don't know what people's fascination with that guy is.

But whatever, if they pick someone stupid that's just more time at all the demo kiosks and shit while there is no line In 2011 I got to play the Pandas demo almost all the way to the end thanks to everyone being at the concert.

That would be the weirdest thing. Ever. Not that I'd complain or anything.
