Default Timeless Isle 5.4 Story Progression (Spoiler)

Each week, when Patch 5.4 hit the Live servers, we will be able todo Timless Isle Storyline quests. That will show us visions...

Atm I only saw two of them, waiting next week for third (where we gonna see more major characters from the game).

Will update this topic in future for story progress..

Hrm, if the purpose of the Timeless Isle is to play out lore events, that actually improves my opinion of its addition, significantly. I look forward to seeing more, as it progresses.

And here I thought it was just going to be some random filler content with world bosses and part of the legendary questline. Glad I was somewhat mistaken.

Proof positive that dataminers and opinionmakers (who tend to be dataminers) don't always have it 100% right.

Guys we see Saurfang there, and Thrall fighting in the end with Garrosh.

Does this means Saurfang is died?

Weren't these quests announced as having been added due to feedback there wasn't enough story for the Timeless Isle? The fact they lack voice acting despite their importance suggests so as well.

Maybe some will be added though with the 5.4 delay?

Saurfangs voice files makes it seem like he appears (heavily wounded though) right after Nazgrim, post the elevator last I checked there was no sight of him though on Flex (But they might leave parts about such things to normal).

I still can't believe that Thrall AND Saurfang together would ever lose to that punk Garrosh.

If they remove any more cutscenes from LFR and Flex like they did Throne of Thunder I will be VERY displeased.

I think might be after Klaxxi bosses, based on their running to fight them and him saying "Thrall's up ahead".

I am also apalled at how thankless the orc guards are to the one who brought their race from the oblivion to newfound worlwide power.

I think the cinematics are a nice perk for those who run normals. It's a lesser version of "heroic only lore" on the final boss.

To me that is the most pants on head retarded approach possible.

If I am a noob in some game the least I want out of it is to see the story, yet they restrict that one thing, the one thing LFR and Flex should give to noobs on a platter. Restrict gear, mounts, pets but not the bloody story.

I am always flabbergasted by how stupid that design is.

Lore shouldn't be restricted to any difficulty. Someone who plays the game for the lore won't necessarily want to run normals.

And many raiders don't give a damn about the lore.

I love seeing how Saurfang is dedicated to Thrall, even if he isn't warchief, he stands with him in this.

Pretty much this.

I don't care about getting lesser gear, or no mounts or pets or whatever, but taking out cutscenes is just... why?

And on that note, SoL is a forum I no longer enjoy. So, I'm done here. And I genuinely think the people who have absolutely nothing at all positive to say about the game and, the people whose posts are composed entirely of whining, really consider leaving (or at least sticking to non-WoW sections). Because if you truly get no enjoyment out of WoW, then why are you here?

With that said, goodbye.

LFR players don't like cutscenes apparently. That's my guess.

well, consider the start of the deathbringer saurfang fight. On a normal setting, people had to go through listening to that over and over and over... LFR would only have to listen to it once a week, so the ungrateful little loot whores can suck on it.

If Blizzard can manage to avoid cutscenes like jumping from an airship onto a boss's backside, then having them shouldn't really be deemed all that bad, really. The impatient folks will still Esc out of it and the newer folks can sit their and watch it, without the consequence of no body knowing what they are supposed to be doing because, "hey, the boss fight is activated!"

Yeah, Guild Wars 2 puts the primary story lore in the Story Mode Dungeon, and then extra lore is in the harder Explorable Mode Dungeon. Honestly, that works well, and I have been disappointed that the essential story lore would be at a higher difficulty.
