Man, the way Kellick's post is deliberately twisted sure is sad.

C'mon, you guys are complete idiots if you can't understand that some people just don't have enough power to force everyone and everything to submit to their will.

Dark Shaman magic forces elementals to do their bidding, yes, but the elementals could always resist. Otherwise, the taunka would have had no problems with the elements the moment they decided to strong-arm them, plus the whole thingy about the shaman manga, and Thrall's Horde would have never had a problem with the elements.

It just so happened that most of the shaman in the story were mediocre at best.
They also make a big deal about how different, and in some ways stronger, pandaria's elementals are compared to those the dark shaman are familiar with.

I didn't get the impression that they were stronger, but I do agree with different. Perhaps it's the childishness within them, but they do seem to have a sort of morality to them that most of Azeroth's elementals seem to lack.
"All right, I'll get that kid to eat. Where's my screw driver and my plumber's helper? I'll open up his mouth and I'll shove it in."

The Alliance's three rules on faction conflict:
1) You can't win.
2) You can't break even.
3) You can't leave the game.

My impression was the elements would have broken down and given in in time, but that was time the Dark Shaman didn't have.
