tbh,I would take anything as long as its better than TBC.TBC was cool but the lore was the weakest part of it.it was more of a "test" expansion.both Warcraft Chronicles and Illidan book is to clarify all the lore even if it means to retcon some things.

So I read the Arthas vs Illidan fight again.
-they start fighting
-Illidan flies a small distance away to get out of the melee
-he splits his blade in two and tries to intimidate Arthas(which had the opposite effect)
-lunges at Arthas
-Arthas strikes him deep across the torso
-Illidan then transforms into a demon and bombards Arthas with fel fire
-Arthas screams in pain and is pushed back
-Illidan lunges at Arthas again to finish him
-Arthas strikes him again, this time ending it

So apparently I forgot about the fel fire bit, which made it a lot closer. Still it seemed more of a momentary advantage that Illidan failed to take advantage of; before this Arthas held his own and even had the advantage, even though he was still taxed from his fight with Kael.
Agree to disagree but this is not my idea of manhandling.

True, TBC was messy. My concerns about this book are mostly because some parts remind me of a few Illidan fanfics that I read about a decade ago. But given what I heard about this writer, it should still be pretty good.

Arthas just had a plot armor.they were equal in Felwood even though Illidan was just released from his cell although I doubt that they were going all out.newly empowered Illidan lost to Arthas,the same Arthas he fought in Felwood(maybe with a little boost).so yeah,it was a plot armor.he won against Uther because of Frostmourne,he won against Kael because he used that trick that Muradin taught him and he won against Illidan because he,instead of staying on the ground,flew away so that he can make some epic kill.I bet that Vashj had some camera so that she can take a shot of Illidan killing Arthas in some epic fashion and to show it to Tyrande so that she can see how awesome he is.

I also don't understand how you people are so angry at demon hunters being very effective against demons its like how in pokemon theres type advantages ya know? well fel magic is super effective against titans (this was confirmed in chronicle) so demon hunters (and Illidan) obviously found demons type weakness and used it against the dreadlords and were going to use it against the eradar too but we fucked it up


I'm also hoping that we end sargeras by opening portals all over his skin and ripping him apart

In the Matthias Lehner quests it's stated that Illidan was far closer to killing Arthas than ANYONE else. I read it that he got cocky and left himself open for a split second enough for arthas to impale him.

True, TBC was messy. My concerns about this book are mostly because some parts remind me of a few Illidan fanfics that I read about a decade ago. But given what I heard about this writer, it should still be pretty good.
That deep strike want through illidan, as in didn't touch him.

Arthas' final lunge was a mental command that more or less took over Arthas. He couldn't move.

The next part has Illidan gloating to Arthas over how powerful he was Yada Yada, Arthas felt gear, then the fel fire.

I always took that as the scream was fake. Illidan being a dick.

Still REALLY want to know wtf happened to Illidans satyrs. Could mean a lot as to how they react to Xavius and his ilk in Legion if they're still with the Illidari.
