Classic should be Classic. It shouldn't be Classic plus some newer things. The only QoL that'd be acceptably implemented is Battle.net on the friends list, and that's mostly to maintain consistency across all the B.net environment.

People want a Classic server. They've clamored for it. They've bitched and moaned about it forever. So give it to them. Start right at 1.0 and do progression up the way up to 1.12. Bugs and warts and all. Corrupted Blood bullshit and everything funky and weird that went down.

Even though probably like 90% of people have no idea what vanilla WoW was really, truly like (even I don't, I only started in 1.12), they've said they want that.

This talk about group finder options in WoW Classic had me imagining LFR versions of the raids. And if that'd be the case, that they added that, I hope to god they don't adjust the difficulties, raid sizes, or drop rates.

Just imagine it, 40 players, 80% of whom play a class specialization they don't really enjoy or master, only because it's the only truly viable raiding option, drudging their way through pack after pack of trash mobs to reach bosses with maybe two or three abilities and wonky encounter tactics, who drop a handful of gear pieces for the raid leader or designated looter to hand out. It'll be hella dope an experience.

Remember, folks: being able to mail more than one thing at a time, guild banks (because who doesn't remember the guild leader sharing their account info with other officers so they could get crap off the guild bank alt?), or an in-game clock, will directly lead to LFR, flying, and transmog.

And even hinting that early raids might need a rebalancing if they use the later patches makes you casual scum who doesn't really want Classic, and you should go back to Legion.

Majority wants the vanilla experience to be like vanilla the classic private server thing (but with blizzard stuff so better than private servers) they dont want Classic 2.0 WoW with STUFF WE ADDED LATER.

I look forward to seeing many people realize why vanilla WoW was awful compared to later expacs. I'd probably be interested if it was at least a TBC server as that was when the game finally got a lot of much needed improvements.

That reminds me. I won't be able to play a Shaman as they weren't added until BC.

If I had my druthers I'd ask for a Wrath server. I want the option to play in the pre-Cata old world with all the modern conveniences.

I cant wait to relive the AV experience except not as a casual ret paladin. Maybe something 'op' like a hunter, sitting on icewing laughing at the peasants.

I remember watching the entire Eurovision Song Contest while raiding MC/BWL cause my job was Curse of Shadows and pressing Shadowbolt.

One of my best friends was Hunter class leader of that one guild who was world first for a while.
He was Hunter class leader because they had only one and his job was Tranq Shot and warming the bench.

I meant for pvp, not for raiding... cant exactly spam Frostbolt over and over back then. Then again, from the bunker it might not be so bad.

One of my fonder memories of Vanilla was the fury warrior we had finally getting his GM weapons to use them on Nefarian, and the Guild Master had all of us paladins BoP him on cooldown to fuck with him.

Shit, i forgot about Hunter Deadzone. Frost Mage it is, then, from the top of Icewing bunker...

You'll need the AV-people for that, though. There'll be little enough players as-is on those realms, likely a LOT less than even low pop servers during ye olde times. Getting a proper AV going with those numbers... i'm routing for you mate. But i ain't seeing it. Most people will be spending weeks to months just doing the levelling grind; by the time they realize how... vanilla Vanilla was they'll lose interest (and probably start yelling for QoL improvements. I don't agree with a lot that Blizzard does but they're HARD on the money with "You think you want Vanilla. But you don't.", at least for the majority of players).

We had an Enhancement Shaman, for the totem upgrades because otherwise he was useless,
BUT
he got Sulfuras.
And turned even more useless cause as soon as he engaged and Windfury proced, he drew aggro and was dead.

Raiding without Blessings or Fear Ward was utter suffering, we used Fury/Forsaken Warriors and Forsaken Priests on Nef to cheat fear. Fucking retarded times.
