Edit: the only playable ape should be like in Planet of the Apes.

one handed typing due to burn, will be brief.

Hozen should have supplemented horde numbers and become workers and mass infantry, particularly as unskilled labor like peons, but more for the darkspearthan the orcs

treated well-rnough but given the discipline and motivation to use their energy constructively and curb the worst of their impulses

Theoretically, it could work, but it would require countless disciplinarians and constant supervision to ensure the hozen actually performed the appointed task. Not to mention they would be limited by problem-solving skills when faced with complex directives.

The hozen are a race of people who live almost entirely in the moment. Menial labour would probably be the worst possible task you could give them.

Their "adults" are just teenagers anyways, so most shouldn't even be allowed to work. Heh, the Horde employing child soldiers, just like it did during the first wars.

What Hozen need is school and a safer environment.

Remember how the Orc navy got pwned by Worgens wielding rolling pins back in Silverpine.

Remember Unga Ingo with hozen pirates.

The Hozen will be the swashbuckling privateers of the Horde. Alas me hearties, we sail for the Horde.

Think about it, they are designed perfectly for boarding ships.

Yes. Teenagers also have long, theoretically fruitful, lives in front of them. The hozen don't. Just because they're the same age doesn't mean the same mentality makes sense.

Hmn, you have a point there.

But we can't just say they don't do -anything- they don't want to because their lives are short.

Guess we stick them to hunting and infantry?

I've got to admit compared to the Jinyu the Hozen do seem pretty garbage at everything except zerging.

And their 20 year lifespan is biological correct, not a product of their lifestyle?

Sure, but the threshold is going to be a lot higher.

The irregulars of the horde.

Yeah, pretty much. We do occasionally see them use some fairly neat enchantments though, like totems that shoot energy from the eyes.

From what we can tell, yes. There's plenty of hozen living outside hozen communities, and we've had no indication that they're older than the tribal hozen.

1. Not sure I follow, which threshold?

2. Which sucks cause we've got hunters and fighters out the wazoo in the Horde, need something to supplement peons... guess kobolds can work, troggs too for mining if what's left of ragefire's population after the dark shaman are cleared out can work, and goblins have shredders for lumber so that about covers it.

3. Things the Darkspear ought to have :|

Ah well, anything else?

4. Blast. That just seems unfair.

Climbing trees, eating bananas, having fun.

Really, I can see them being a lot of fun for roleplaying variety, being a species with much less general hang-ups, and a fairly unique personality.

I wouldn't want to play anything that's likely to die of old age by the next expansion, they're faction-aligned NPCs at best imo.

Didn't Hozen get more lore than Jinyu with the whole Monkey King bit and everything?
