It is.

Look at the background. It's mountains are the rim of the trunk

Should be interesting. Maybe we'll also finally get an idea for the scale of an average person's abilities this way. I'm sure a kid lost and on his way home won't be rubbing elbows with Jaina and sharing a campfire with Thrall. It'd be nice to see what the, 'Average,' of classes can do in various situations, rather than how we're always forced to see what God-Tier Heroes can do.

Weisman is a great writer and I have every faith he'll do right by this. I'm always a fan of more ordinary people doing their thing in Azeroth stuff as well.

Won't deny that I'm a bit afraid that Blizz is thinking of moving in a more kid/tween-friendly direction with their lore and overall storytelling, especially after the Metzen interview at Blizzcon where he talked about wanting to do right by the kids.

I get what they're attempting to do here though. The good ol' Disney method of hooking them while they're young.

Chronicle has made the universe horrible. Legion is horrible. You don't have to worry.

Aram's dad is his stepfather. I wonder why they added that small detail.

By the way, are those horned, knife-eared gorillas supposed to be sasquatch/yetis/wendigos?

Just like many other in-game storylines!

I'm not sure about Rebels, but Spider-Man, Young Justice, and W.I.T.C.H. were. Was Gargoyles? I honestly don't remember how Gargoyles ended, just that it continued with a comic book instead of season 3.

Didn't he get axed after season 1 for the abomination?

Yeah I just checked him out (also why I changed from not being sure about WITCH to being sure, it was cancelled). They kicked him off Rebels for it getting too extreme before season 2 even started airing.

Quote:
-Gargoyles third season was subject to executive meddling that killed the show.
-There were only two general DVD releases for Gargoyles; the third one that would've finished the (canonical) run was quietly ignored for eight years until finally becoming a Disney Movie Club exclusive.
-The comic book replacement for the third season suffered from chronic scheduling slips and ended when Disney raised the licensing fees.
-After the lackluster first season of W.I.T.C.H., Greg Weisman was hired to head the second season. The show grew a beard and Greg had plans for more seasons. It was not to be.
-When Disney bought Marvel, Sony gave up the TV rights to Spider-Man in order to keep the Spider-Man Trilogy movie rights from falling into Marvel Studios' hands, preempting any third season of The Spectacular Spider-Man.
-Young Justice's problematic airing schedule and lackluster toy sales made it too unprofitable compared with its high costs for animation and licensing, so Cartoon Network cancelled it.
-Star Wars Rebels became notably extreme, with Greg being pulled off after the first season, before the show even aired. However, he left to work on the series prequel comic, Kanan.

You'll have to go through him, if you want to date Hope Saldean.

Isn't he also Varian's bastard?

Looks suspiciously like Varian. First footage shown was Varian. Varian had fun somewhere confirmed.

Then that would make Onyxia his mother....

The plot thickens...

I just noticed Tyrande has blue hair again in that last image. Blizz needs to make up their minds already.

That dress she's wearing though too bad we'll never see anything like that in-game.

Not too long ago they said that her hair is blue and that her teal hair was just a mistake, iirc.

They should just say that millennia of being connected to nature caused some night elves' hair to start changing color with the seasons like leaves.

Then they'd have an explanation for WC3's blue-haired Malfurion too.

Or with Elune's Blessing so it changes in the day/night cycle, or when Elune is helping them.

Harrison Jones.

That would mean Aram is basically Mutt and they'll be reunited to go on wacky father/son adventures during the series and afterward.

It's definitely set post-Cata since Malfurion is awake.

Yep just watched it again. Metzen specifically says "one of the world's greatest explorers."

So Harrison Jones or Reno Jackson are good possibilities.

Or maybe it's Brann and he's some kind of half-human/dwarf.

Or Jim Hawkins Jr. I don't know.
