Default WoW Year 0

I like to mess with Photoshop in my free time, and the last I've done it's this pre-First War map of Azeroth and Lordaeron. ¿What do you think? ¿Is something lore-related missing?

Yeah, really nice. This is supposed to be the map just before the first opening of Dark Portal?

And, are you Spanish? Those reversed question marks suggests so.

Catalonia IS in Spain, as me and Lon Ami (who is in Bilbao, I believe) have discussed. You know, our rant about Catalan vs. Castilian vs. Portuguese?

I was talking about widely known "spanish" not the spanish spanish.

But, please, do not get into that offtopic once more, OK?

Omg that map is awesome!
The only thing was Deadwind Pass and the Great Trees.

Best map I have seen so far, seriously.

It's not that hard, those maps filled with little mountain and tree drawings are a lot harder to do, and personally I find them cooler. I did that map in only 4 or 5 hours between yesterday and today and it could have been better. But well, the result isn't ugly.
Hmmm...I can't do the background for Deadwind pass because I deleted some 2D layers, and redo it again it's too much work :S
¿The Great Trees were already there? I'm not too sure...

Maybe you could select deadwind pass, "decolor" it and add a bit of grey glow?

Edit: it works rather good with "select", "layer via copy", "strg-u" and a soft eraser

Hey, I'm making another one too. I need the pattern for the second war map, and I started making it yesterday.

PD: I'm not alone! And yes, in Catalonia they speak spanish too. They speak both languages, as Basques do too.

PD2: You're getting iberic roll'd. Lold.

I'm editing everything that is unused or hasn't got a worked coastland, like Dun Morogh, which (this image is unupdated >.<) I deleted all the unused landmass and made a new coast.

I'm going to make Zul'Aman too, but I haven't decided yet how to. The missing river make me go angry.

Kul Tiras is a little too big and close to the shore, but otherwise it's excellent!

Have to fix it. Damn, forget to bring today the newest image.

Are you sure Kul'Tiras is too big? I was going to make it even biggger. I don't like that the starting zone of the Belves is bigger than Crestfall...

Anyway, thx 4 the support . Now I have to start making the height map.

I'll try to show you my Outland version when I finish it.

Supposing, of course, that you're speaking about my image... xDDD

I like how you, Hades, fixed the Quel'Thalas and Lordaeron part. The result is so cool.

Yes...

T_T-

Anyway, Kul'Tiras is smaller in that map. Are you sane? It should be as big as eversong, for example.

PS: Don't care, I supposed it... xDDD

The gates of Quel'thalas existed before the 1st War?

And are you sure Kul'Tiras is smaller than the island on the map?

Btw, if someone wants to mess with Azeroth, this is the Alpha map I used: http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/2...louettegw2.png

Well, in this WC3 map, as well as Warlock's map, Kul Tiras is small enough to fit within the sea enclosed between Lordaeron and Khaz'Modan.

Now that I look at it a bit more closely, your map and that Alpha map you linked are the only ones where you have that Huge-Ass western Kul Tiras.

In that WC3 map, Dun Morogh doesn't eat a piece of sea.

I prefer to look at this map:

http://www.scrollsoflore.com/gallery...art/wowmap.jpg

And, anyway, I suppose Kul'Tiras will be like a zone in WoW, like a pretty zone, not a Quel'Danas-like small island.

PS: Warlock update your map with teh new Northrend!!.

What they make out of it in WoW doesn't matter for what it is in the lore.

All join Kul'Tiras Exists platform!

I suppose it's as big as any WoW regular zone because it has a Capital City, which can't be smaller than Alterac City. A Capital city like that needs space and lands around.

It would have no sense to make your capital in a small island. Also, W2 maps show it hell big.

The island doesn't have to be fitted in that tiny space in the WoW world map. It can be instanced.

Blizzard will just retcon its position and make it fit outside the coast of Dun'morogh and not in the über small Baradin Bay (I explored there and the only thing there is a huge reef, some sunken ships and ruins - I didnt dare to swim deeper lol, so scary).

The problem of instancing it would be something like the actual 2 Quel'Thalas, the instanced one in TBC and the old one. If you swim from the old world, you reach that zone, and you appear as you are in the middle of ghostlands, while you are in that placeholder place.

But, in this case, you'll be mixing Dun Morogh and Kul'Tiras, not a placeholder area.
