While Azazel's a great artist who makes some epic fapping material, I was a bit surprised to see all those Scarlet ladies drawn with east-asian facial structure. I understand where he comes from and who he probably uses as references, but even so, the Scarlets seemed to be very Western-European, almost analogous to the Spanish Inquisition to me.

He is a fan of the Scarlet Crusade. I'm not surprised he drew this in his way.

It's a product of having fairly-undetailed facial features in-game, I would suppose. Kind of like anime faces, how they lack/have understated features that would define nationality so fans tend to superimpose their own ethnicity on them.

That said, I do find it pretty weird, as they would be the only four Asians in all of Azeroth besides Woo Ping in Stormwind.

Yeah, but we designate ethnicity via cultural inferences, and the Scarlets have a very conservative catholic theme to them, which would generally mean southwestern europe.

I once commented on his Tyrande pic, think it's...not charming enough, no difference than a random nightelf archer. But I must agree he did not draw this just for somebody to accept.

I think Marjhan and Whitemane is good, Demetria and Abbendis is a little bit too asian, but overall it's still great work.

I find his work bizarre. He seems to have a... very specialized view of what is sexy. He seems to have more or less consistent 'sub-fetishes' portrayed in his works that I do not agree with. While boobs are all well and good, his work actually makes me slightly sick for some reason.

Well in fact most of his drawings have nothing to do with porn, it's just he became famous in WOW community because of "those" drawings. My opinion for "those drawings" are, no doubt his skills are great. But he does not have enough creativity to put on so many ladies, so the styles are alike. Maybe also because he...did not understand all the characters' lore that well and able fit the sexy with characteristics. His Scarlet Crusade pics are great but Sylvanas and Tyrande is not as good as that. His Onyxia, I personally think leon 19's pic fit the character better.

Umm... are you implying that I find lore-accuracy... arousing? Regardless, I was referring to the pale skin, the unrealistic eyes, the color-schemes/shadowing he uses, and the usage of fingers (we can all guess where they have been, and if not, see Lady Blaumeux). The likeness between his drawings is not an issue I was referring to.
