Is this speculation or are you saying that you know what's going to happen?

I would have thought that an island sliding on a tectonic for miles across the ocean in relatively no time flat would cause destruction enough.

From exclusive press event, of course. Taiwanese media were interviewing Tom Chilton, and that's what he said. If you believe me in the past, then you can believe me this time.

I believe in Curlly Dent.
Did this press event mention any timeframe for said destruction? (within a year, within one and a half etc)

edit: dear lord, i missread it as Kul'tiras - Theramore? WHY? Garrosh! Y U piss off the one person in the Alliance that wants Orcs to be free and ressourcefull?

(ah, right, he's an idiot, i forgot.)

I'm not sure if you're serious. Are you saying that you've verified this information?

You know this how?

Also, this makes me sadface. Theramore is my favorite of all the human things. Its just about the last place I'd want or like to be destroyed.

Runes

If she didn't want it wrecked she shouldn't have put that huge highway in there and used it to attack Horde territory.

What was the Horde supposed to do? NOT attack the large enemy port?

We only see the highway and what the highway does to the Barrens. The zone was updated, but not with Cataclysm. Theramore does not even get a final hour. So it seems.

Ok. Here's the source.

http://gnn.gamer.com.tw/2/58892.html

http://www.gamebase.com.tw/news/news...ews_category=1

Gamers.tw and Gamebase, and a few more Taiwanese media were interviewing Tom Chilton in the first day of Blizzcon 2011. And today they release the interview report. If you can read Chinese, then you will find out that both of the medias speak almost the same. I will see if I can get the original interview record file. Wait and see. But for now, there's no reason to doubt it. You remember the new Jaina novel is going to be epic and bring up a big change event, right? And this make sense.

*Shock*

How will that affect the 1-60 storyline?

Well, I guess a crap will be given, since Dustwallow wasn't neither revamped nor mentioned in Southern Barrens.

I expected this sooner or later, since Jaina is an obstacle for war, and Blizzard would want her current self removed. I already suspected the novel would deal with some of this, even more after Garrosh was confirmed to be the villain.

But Theramore blowing up? No way I could see that coming.

An entire kingdom, ladies and gentlemen. Now humanity = Varian, which is sad.

And yeah, Horde biased Blizzard FFS.

Well, maybe it's just attacked and then rebuilt, we should not jump to conclusions this fast. I really hope it's not gone.

Now, I could see pre-MoP event being Horde, lead by Rexxar, retaking Stonemaul and attacking Theramore, partially damaging it, and Danath retaking Stromgarde and stopping the Forsaken.

PS: 30 pages in less than 2 days? oh shit. I'll try to read them all, and not die while doing so.

At the lore Q and P Metzen said the Trials of the High King quest was planned to be added in 5.0, so that would probably be the alliance world event.

That event could include that (and would make sense), while the Horde version is Theramore.

Sorry, I've been away posting on the Corpsegrinder incident at Blizzcon(him launching into a profanity laden homophobic tirade at anyone who plays Alliance and then telling the players to die).

Dancing cow dude, you say the Alliance will be "close as ever" - Yes, it will, in the two towns it owns by the time Metzen and Co. are through with the Alliance.

I have incredibly mixed feelings about this. (Like I normally do with just about every change Blizzard keeps lobbing at us.)

On one hand, it will actually help the Alliance get its shit together and give us a good leader to rally around who has all his shit together and is now out doing things and trying to be Lothar 2.0. On the other hand, it could be a real bomb. Varian will fail as a character, not just because people don't want to like but also because he's human as well as not being a very established character like other Alliance characters, who have had history in Warcraft, are. I almost can't trust Blizzard to succeed with this but I look at it with intrigue and simply try to be optimistic about it. To me Varian becoming "high king" or whatever doesn't ruin the Alliance concept, as it still requires the say of every other leader and they must put him on each of their trials in order for him to prove himself. That already shows he's not as much of a supremacist as some people are lauding over, so hopefully it will turn over well.

Another thing I dislike is that this means Horde will eventually have complete control over Kalimdor as well as already controlling the upper half of Eastern Kingdoms. What's Varian going to do for us? He needs redeeming qualities and he needs them badly, because he can't be a rallying figure unless he stands for more than just the humans of the Alliance. It starts with actually developing him in game and not in books.

Who's the High King?

Let me guess: fucking Varian.

BBBUUUUUUULLLLSHIT

Retake Stromgarde, that's the only thing he needs to prove.

Where's the figure of Supreme Commander these days? t_t-
