Default SoL Project 4 : Public feedback.

This thread is a place as a goal : to allow those of you, contacted by PM, who aren't part of the Solcu Project to give us, who are working on this project, your feedback on the project as a whole. It could be :

-the writing style
-the plot holes who seem obvious for us who worked on it because we talked about it in the Cosmogenesis thread
-your impressions of some species, the world

Or other things that you would want to talk about.

As for you, fellow creators, I say : wait and see what feedback we are getting, and then explain your choices.

I thank you all in advance.

Edit : Just to help everyone know who wrote what :

-Jungle Elves, animals from Tartarion written by Nazja
-Wind Elves, Dracon, written by Yaskaleh
-Kaaradi (and fauna of Kaarad), Aldash, Urshari (with the incoming participation of Yaskaleh and Anansi) [Placeholder/Thama], Realm of Terror written by Korath

Is it still just theorycrafting at this stage or is there a written story to judge? Its hard to give feedback if its all just worldbuilding.

That's right, I've forgot about that. So, the links :

By the way, if you are interested in the Dwarves, Täjaran, Asha or Aingeleen, feel free to spam Erthad, Anansi, Verdande and Jungleluke respectively.

Very good so far. I highly enjoy what I'm reading. Some thought went into this, obviously, and it has potential.

A few things I disliked, such as the blue and bright red hair of certain Wind Elves, and I think the percentage of hair colors should have some sort of explanation and possibly even importance attached to each, and the mythology of the Gods and Primordial Beings is certainly a nice touch.

A well thought out caste system based on hair could not only be interesting, especially if the consequences and benefits of each color are explored, but it's also a nice little nod to the "Elves are just girly men" trope and a way to twist a public joke into an interesting facet of their culture that has very deep and meaningful influences on the race as a whole.

There will be no caste system for the wind elves, it would clash too much with their views on servitude and slavery. They believe in a kind of meritocracy. For example, the headmistress of the largest center of studies, magdalia, were an orphan raised by the elves of grönenwald. The northern duchies has a worse opinion of mohira compared to the south, often resulting in that elves of the more rural areas abandon their infants to the wilds who have been born with mohiras blood red hair. Those living near grönenwald often leave their children near the forest's edge, hoping that one of the schwarzbogen elves will find the child. Those elves cares little for superstition, taking in any abandoned children as one of their own. These adoptees get the surname schwarzbogen as they are seen as a child of the entire tribe.
