I got "The Way of Kings" by Sanderson as a gift. Worth reading?

So, I picked up the first three novels from The Dresden Files, after it was suggested to me by a friend.

Thus far, having finished the first novel, I've been really enjoying it; kinda makes me wish I had gotten a couple more, just so I won't run out of things to read. It could just be due to it being a change of pace from what I normally read, but damn if it isn't refreshing. It has its cheesy moments, but hell, I like a bit of cheese.

If you're at all fond of Halloween, eldritch horrors, cats, dogs or fictional crossovers, I must insist that you read Roger Zelazny's A Night in the Lonesome October. You have nine days to procure a copy.

No, but seriously. Support your local book stores and pick up a cheap, paperback copy.

That's not exactly what I meant by local book store, but whatever works.

My local bookstore has a cat that spends its days in the store.

Stupid Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Why did I pick it up? Just... why?

(No, I will not spoil it. If I feel like ranting about it, I will post spoiler tags.)

Everybody got their copies of A Night in the Lonesome October? Excellent. You're in for a treat, and perhaps even a trick or two.

About halfway through Micky Neilson's new book The Turning.

I'm not particularly a werewolf fan but I bought it to support Micky and because I knew it'd be an enjoyable read. Loving it so far.

Say, would anyone be interested in forming a book club sort of thing here on SoL? Where we periodically decide on something to read and then talk about it?

This may or may not just be an excuse for me to bully you all into reading books I like. Now go read A Night in the Lonesome October.

Just started reading the book. Pretty nice stuff, though I may have spoiled myself on a little tidbit. I think I'll check more of this writer's stuff after I'm done/get the time, Cthulhu rest his soul.
