Kingsmouth Town still then?

Already done a couple Investigation Missions? Like the Kingsmouth code - that one's killer.

I'm taking it slow, doing quests for one guy or gal at a time. Right now I'm hunting for mass graves.

*waits for the inevitable "OMGWTF" reaction to the better investigation missions*

I was messing around and my guy ended up looking like a cleaner and younger version of this guy:

Blonder too.

Edit:
I found one major flaw with the game though. It is not happy with more than two screen and tabbing out overall.

Don't sweat it, THIS. This specific game is MADE to be savored slowly. Read. Listen. See. Take all of your time.

Just tell me, did you happen to complete the missions from the pastor at the Kingsmouth church? Those are the "intro" for Investigative missions.

The ride never ends.

I never got around to starting the Venice missions they added. I've probably got 6000 Bonus FC points gathering dust. I guess I should get those done before Tokyo. I really want the Council of Venice uniform.

That reminds me - if I bought the game and was subbed and unsubbed long ago, before the game went F2P - what's my account status? Do I still have to B2P for all the more interesting features?

Lotro did that after I'd paid the box price and a year's worth of subs they made me pay for access to the expansion content again (that i'd already purchased years before), so I said "fuck that".

You'll have the B2P experience. You'll also have a few Veteran's Points depending on how many months you were subbed for (I think it's 10 per month) which are used to buy certain things like exclusive pets and weapon skins. Actually subbing seems a little... redundant to me now. A bit of extra XP and some cash shop points. I was a Lifer so it was redundant to me but still.

I had an EU LOTRO account, so I lost everything.

Now that you mention it, I think you'Re right, I had an EU acc too and missed the whole change from Codemasters to Turbine and lost it all.

God was I pissed, I had two characters fully decked in radiant gear with great 2nd age weapons

One thing I do find annoying is how instances and raid seem critical to the story, but I can't find it in me to actually bother AGAIN with finding and tolerating human beings other than my wife. Done that enough in WoW, thank you very much.

Well, at least there's that scenario thingie, but still. I should probably check for vids of the instances instead...

I never found them overly critical, especially not to the main plot. The Hell instances are kind of there own self-contained story. There's nothing in the dungeons that you don't get informed about outside of them if I recall.

The dungeons are amazing. I don't know why you would rob yourself of that experience (if they've been fixed in the meantime, anyway, they were nearly unplayable back when I was active).

Hey, don't challenge my sociopathic tendencies!

Meh, I'm probably less bothered by people than my wife, so I'll probably give them a go when I'm on my own for awhile.

How long do those typically take? (and do take into account I'm a walking disaster for now, I've barely begun scratching the surface of min/maxing builds by looking at a few discussed builds on the forums).

I can't really say objectively, as we were experimenting and trying to figure out the mechanics on some when I was playing. But the easier ones take about 15-20 minutes to complete without wipes, I'd say.

Some very fun bosses too. (HIDE FROM CTHULU!)

I love that they actually uploaded a video to YouTube for the Investigation associated with it. That was a great touch.

But I agree, Hell was definitely one of the most interesting parts of TSW.

Wow that didnt sound biased at all

I love how Kirsten Geary put it "we (the Illuminati) are all about power behind the throne, the templars want a second throne" where is the fun in that. That's not subtle.

Heh in general I just go to the noobmares chat and do some NM for the lols.

It's a bit grindy to get the best gear in game and you have to do dungeons several times. And you need to upgrade it with drops from dungeons too. I have a few pieces of custom gear that are barely upgraded(I only upgraded the glyphs if I remember correctly) but its really a pain in the ass to get since it requires doing dungeons over and over and over and over again.

I'm really looking forward to Tokyo. I've yet to play this recent issue mostly because I've been busy but I'll likely get into it soon.

I too am a Templar, mostly because I'm playing a John Constantine knock off.

As for the raid stuff, I did some Nightmares but I'd burned out at that point and rerunning the dungeons over again on hard mode didn't appeal much. I've been away from it long enough now to get back into though. My cabal does the raids sometime but the gear/skill requirement keeps me away from it. I've certainly got a desire to do NY. I'd also really like to do the Lair missions at some point, I've finished all the other quests. It's mostly just group content keeping me back. Still I've got a great Cabal, very friendly and helpful, it's just a matter of time investment for me.

Course given the nature of the game if a few of us Scrolls members wanted to roll over some content I'd be game.

Templars are rich dudes sitting in plain view in a castle. Doesn't really click with me.
It isn't so much in "plain view". The region of london were players go is a restricted area. I once read a really good post explaining London in TSW
