The Minions film depicts Dracula in 1785. I know that's later than you wanted.

Just watch the 1931 Dracula movie that's all you need.

Bram's Stoker Dracula is pretty good too.

Popcorn munching cheesy action schlock, but damn I'd be lying if I didn't say I enjoy the overall style and character designs.

Sadly, I imagine that's how the Dark Universe is going to make me feel.

Set during World War II, the movie features a torrid romance between a slinky Dutch-Jewish lady spy (Lily James) and a Nazi stud-muffin (Jai Courtney) who is sent on a mission to investigate exiled German Monarch Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Sounds interesting.

Have become less enthusiastic about NC's videos, but this was a pretty well-done review. Normally not a fan of his skits that have overtaken his reviews, but the whole Jocks vs. Intellectuals skit was done pretty well here. Especially liked the bit where both of them got annoyed over the shaky cam during the action scenes.

And yes, Requiem sucked balls.

The AvP movies make me sad. They could have been so good, but instead they were just dumb.

I dunno. AvP Requiem was a surprisingly good movie. It had quite a few bold choices compared to your bog standard blockbuster. Like the humans were pretty ineffective and mostly focused on (barely) surviving, the damsel in distress actually died, they failed to save the town and even the ending was good and showed promise (that general guy giving the predator tech to the woman that will go on to found the mega-corp of the Alien franchise).

All in all I quite enjoyed the movie and hell might watch it again now that you've reminded me. However the other two AvP movies were at best mediocre and that verdict hinges on the flashy special effects and the fact that I am a fan of both franchises and the video games.

I wouldn't consider AvP Requiem a good movie, but it was a fun trash movie. I enjoyed it for the same reasons as you.

I just finished watching The Breakfast Club the other day

I didn't like the ending, with the emo-goth girl being turned into a teeny bopper.

Mana

I'll be seeing Thor: Ragnarok for my birthday. I want to try and invite my friends to come as well.

I promise, I'm an adult.
