I think he's referring to the money we've spent sending food aid to NK.

I really would want to hope that if the idiot went to declare war that he'd be removed from power pretty quick. It'd be nice to remove him the proper way but I guess only 1 military coup or mass revolt in over 250 years is pretty good for a Republic.

I'm given to understand he has a red button on his desk (or somewhere in his office?) which gets someone to bring him a delicious Diet Coke™. With any luck, if/when he decides he wants to nuke someone, he'll press the wrong button and the refreshing taste of a cool Diet Coke™ will be enough to talk him down from nuclear apocalypse.*

The nukes are already paid for. If you don't use them you are literally loosing money.

Looks like a big anti-Muslim protest in Houston last year was orchestrated by a Russian facebook page.

To be fair, Republicans are really good at it, too.

Have you seen the Middle East?

Now I'm not saying it's solely due to the US that the Middle East is a shithole, it's pretty much been a global joint effort to fuck that shit up, with the help of the locals. But the part America played there is undeniably large, and the amount of internal instability brought there this past half-century or so is amazingly impressive.

So you guys've still got it. Don't worry.

America with their bombings, regime changes and the usual geopolitical fuckery has not helped the ME in the least. However the Middle East can't be helped and largely is messed up for its own reasons. A lot of people blame Sykes–Picot for dividing up the land arbitrarily, but when you look at an ethno-religious map of the ME you will realize it is more fucked up than the one in the Balkans. So big stable nations are out of the question, you could try to make a lot of tiny nations that were ethnically homogeneous but those would quickly go to war with each other. And while ethnically homogeneous they would not be stable because then the clanish nature of ME societies would come to the fore and various clans would fight for dominance. Oh and there is that pesky Islamic radicalism too

Yea I'm referring to internal instability inside the US. The Middle East would be a mess regardless of what we did besides maybe Iran and possibly Jordan which is just helped by a Monarchy that manages to not be all around terrible. In general for the majority of the Middle East your life has always been terrible if you're not part of the group that's the majority.

Unlike many other parts of the world (e.g. Spain, possibly Russia), the internal instability in the U.S. isn't regional and separatist anymore. And also our military doesn't have frequent coups as part of its heritage.

The notion that media is all left slanted is ridiculously narrow

Conservative media is just prevalent in different ways

Hell I'd say most media isn't even all that liberal, it's just that the right has moved so far right that a middle ground looks left

I miss having a leader the world respected. Instead we have some loser that the Queen of England won't meet with. Terrible things are happening to our reputation.

I wonder if it has something to do with that time he asked one of her princesses to send nudes.
Well, really he asked for someone else to sneakily take nudes of her and send them.

Meh, probably not the spot this belongs, but I just typed it out and don't wanna look around.

Honestly, this whole "everyone to the right of me is a Nazi!/everyone to the left of me is a communist SJW!" bullshit feels like this is a pretty simple thing to figure out. It's the goddamn extreme Alliance fans vs extreme Horde fans all over again. Each side is convinced the "story" (media) is biased towards the other side, while their side is getting the spiky, four foot shaft. They've pushed the fringes so far out that even those people who agree with them, but not to the same extreme extent, aren't true fans of the Alliance/Horde, but plants for the other side.

This has had the amazing side-effect of making the moderate opinion ("yeah, the Alliance/Horde has problems, but they're not that big a deal", or worse, "both sides are getting the spiky, four foot shaft!") this huge expanse. And from the extreme edges, everyone who is not in their camp (which is moving further and further out there) must be just as bad as the guys who are way the hell out there.

...and all the while, the moderates are just getting sick of the extremists insane bullshit. It just depends on which side is being louder and more hostile at the moment.

The problem is we have actual, honest-to-goodness National Socialists. I figure its part of a globalist plot to subvert historic American racist bigotry with European weirdass anti-semitism that tries its hardest to be racist as it discriminates between people who look the same physically, speak the same language, and come from the same place.

Does the president only care about red states? He's already threatening to pull FEMA out of Puerto Rico.

Mana

Well, first of all, Puerto Rico isn't a state.

Second of all, Trump doesn't give a shit about them. He sees them as lazy people who want everything to be just handed to them (never mind that they lost their homes and everything in them), and if his row with the authority figures over there is any indication, he's convinced that he's right, they're wrong, and that's just the way it is.

Speaking of FEMA, is there any word of them going to NorCal?
