Default Twin Peaks Battleground preview

Looks awesome!

And lol, I just realized that the Dragonmaw windmill's sails are freaking dragon wings.

Notice it also confirms that the Dragonmaw are now Horde, and the Wildhammer are now Alliance?

And it's also exactly like WSG, except the battlefield is somehow asymmetrical. So it's gonna be WSG, but with more whining on the forums that the other faction has an advantage. Yay.

No, they aren't.

Will the Dragonmaw clan, reinforced by Garrosh's Horde, take control?

Means they're backed up by the Horde and are their allies, but aren't actually part of the Horde.
And that same sentence contains a spoiler that Garrosh will be the Warchief in Cataclysm. Oops... way to go Blizzard! Why impose an NDA when you spoil it yourselves?

The next sentence, on the other hand, says "Or will it be the Wildhammer dwarves, reunited with their Ironforge brethren and accepted into the Alliance, who seize the peaks?" so I dunno...

Reading even further into that line, why do they feel the need to distinguish between the Horde and Garrosh's Horde? They don't currently call it Thrall's Horde... to me this points to some deep divisions getting some air time, possibly with either some Thrall loyalists opposing Garrosh or the "Eastern" Horde of Undead and Blood Elves becoming much more independent. Or maybe I am just reading way too much into it.

I think you're just reading too much into it... I think Garrosh's name is just there to specify that the Horde is no longer under Thrall.

I think that they confirmed at blizzcon '09 that Garrosh would be warchief. I remember something coming from metzen, talking about Sylvanas and her forsaken.

I'm liking the idea of a new CTF, kinda sick of always doing the same maps, hopefully there'll be some AB equivalent too. Both having their queues together, so there's a some change of envirronment.

While it could mean that they are just allied temporarly, it could be as simple as not wanting to use the same phrasing twice. Wait and see

Garrosh's Horde might just mean that they want to destinguish the playable horde from the Dark Horde(the one the dragonmaw were in)

I don't think Garrosh was ever officially confirmed to become a warchief by Blizzard, but I can't be sure. And if so...

Thank God they fixed the GY camping in this BG...that was one of the main problems in WSG: If one team clearly dominates the other through gear, skill, or class composition, they can simply farm honor for the entirety of the BG.

Since dwarves are getting shamans, this makes sense...

They had damn well better be. I'd also think that Orcs will be getting a Mag'Har skin choice since you-know-who is in charge.

They also describe the Dragonmaw Clan Compound as "the Horde base" and it has Horde flags all over it.

I'm worried about the terrain difference for both sides...I don't think I have to mention how badly AV and the AB Horde bridge fail.

No explanation of which Dragonmaw clan part it is and why they are part of the Horde=fail!

Man out of all the orc clans, they had to choose the lamest one, they don't even have dragons anymore, so the clan is just a joke.

Why couldn't they use the Revantusks?

There's an easy explanation: Garrosh doesn't care who he allies with as long as it kills more Alliance.

Because you are taking that leak waaaay out of context. You can't look at it without putting on your red-tinged goggles. Do you know WHY X was in Y? Because Garrosh ordered them there. Because he is attacking the Alliance at every single place he can.

It may seem silly, but the anwser should be staring everyone in the face. What are the orcs and night elves fighting over, and what are the flagpoles made of?

Logically they should have had some sort of dragon, but appears Dragonmaw is staying a fail clan for what appears to be a fail Battleground.

I'll actually be glad if, after all the rivers of QQ about this, Blizzard stay adamant and don't make any changed to the terrain just to shut the fuck all those moaning bitches who got used to rely on absolutely equal terrains rather than skill...

Can you stop looking at things with your blue tinted glasses? You even defend the most inane decisions done by the Alliance and you're ignoring every bit of character development.

Blizzard has even stated they wanted to make Garrosh a likable character.
