Default Of Followers and Artisans

This thread is dedicated to discussing the arguably most interesting character stories of the Diablo 3 games: the followers and artisans!

Which followers do you enjoy using the most? Do you prefer using certain followers with certain character classes? Which follower and artisan stories do you find the most interesting? How do you see their stories progressing in subsequent expansions?

You can feel the homoerotic sexual tension between the Crusader and Templar a mile away.

Well, as a Crusader I simply must use Kormac. I do like Lyndon too, though. Eirena not so much.

By the way, why did the sister-in-law do it?

Not really. They're clearly bros, but the Crusader tends to treat him as his naive younger brother who needs guidance.

Agreed. I like using Kormac for Eirena missions (intro and sideplot) and Eirena for Kormac missions (post-normal mode intro and sideplot) simply to watch the romantic awkwardness.

I suppose that's the question for Lyndon and the rest of us in a future expansion. The future plots for Kormac and Eirena is fairly resolved and open-ended, though it seems predicated around the will-they/won't they romantic subplot, at least for Kormac's story. Though it seems as if he may have been friend-zoned at the end.

intresting eirena plans to sort her own kinda crusader-ish situation.

Kormac I could see a story where he goes too far in "convincing" someone.

headrigs thing didn't really have a purpose.

lyndons was :o worthy.

and shen? neeed moar.

To be honest, it's just as unique as with the other classes. It's just that both are followers of Zakarum, which makes it more interesting.

I use the enchantress because she can charm/chicken the enemy.

Yeah, one of her sisters felt betrayed because their entire existence were to be sacrificial lambs for Eirena. Undoubtedly, she got pissed and did what most people do when they get pissed, get marked hostile and die. I think I recall Eirena saying she found Lysa's body, so maybe she made a deal with the demons.

For some reason I didn't get to talk with her enough, so I never saw that quest.

May be off topic but southwest of covetous shen, there's some dude laying on the ground talking about fire. Does it relate to the Enchantress? He said a woman's name.

If you talk to the woman next to him enough, it eventually is revealed to have been Adria he was talking about.

To paraphrase:

Templar: "If I get time, I'd like to read you the teachings of Zakarum."
Crusader: "Kormac, I read them every day."

The super-serious Kormac and the sarcastic Crusader.

I didn't quite understand that myself. I guess that the life force of her sisters was used to keep Eirena alive until the present?

From what I can tell, you get her quest a bit later than the others. I got it after getting to Pandemonium, and I believe there was no indicator for a new dialog option with her like with the others, at least for me.

So basically, Diablo's tsukomi routine?

I was under the impression the other girls were decoys for Eirena, supposed to keep potential enemies too distracted with a fuckton of Enchantresses to keep track of which one is really important. Sleeping bait-y, so to speak.

Kormac and my female crusader didn't talk about their shared faith at all, i was disapointed.

FemWizard Eirena is my otp as far as sexual tension goes. Granted I haven't played a male crusader, but yeah his dialogue with the femCrusader is more 'You are awesome, I want to be like you.' Of course who cares, Shen steals the show. And apparently the D2 Sorceress.
