WOW

That was amazing. This is why I loved Blizz so much back in the day. Little lore segments like this always made me happy.

Even if Shao-hao belatedly admits pride was the one remaining flaw and how his people needed to be part of the world again I don't feel that message was handled well.

Just... too perfect maybe?

Panda

This is why I wished this expac focused solely on Pandaria for Pandaria’s sake, and not on the faction war. So many stories were left untold.

But you just listed a glaring flaw that definitely doesn't make them perfect in your first line.

With six parts, this could have some potentially new lore. At the least, it could show more of how pride became the mists.

I'm also suddenly reminded of this tweet maybe this could be where we find out the origin of the pearl?

I'm pretty sure it's just a retelling of those scrolls we found. Don't expect anything detailed if it just lasts 4 minutes each.

But yes. I love the video, especially the Burning Legion bit.

It's just proof that Blizzard can do it, they can craft good and awesome lore things.

Buuut they can't do it for the Alliance.

Really liked it. This was very much needed with the ridiculous lack of cinematics in MoP.

I wouldn't mind if they released these animated stories once in a while, even about other subjects.

Do we really have to bring this topic into this thread?

That's just the thing, it's not really treated like a flaw. Nowhere ingame does an orc or human grab a pandaren by the neck and point out that if not for their war and fighting in the outside world the Pandaren would've been overrun by Old gods, Undead, or Demons already.

So are the pandaren sanctimonious bears that like to sit on the sideline, do absolutely nothing to risk themselves against the problems in the world, but instead point fingers at everyone else to feel superior to them?

My pride cloaked this land in mists! I thought we were better than the rest of the world.

I thought we could solve our own problems. But for ten thousand years, we stagnated, our doubts and fears buried in the land, rising up to fester whenever we allowed them.

Pride. It is the most insidious of sha. It is good until it is bad. And then it is more dangerous than all the others combined.
The Pandaren are far from perfect.

Who of the Pandaren reprimand the Horde and the Alliance for their fighting? I can only remember is Taran Zhu.

Taran Zhu has every reason to do so, seeing how the Horde and the Alliance unleashed the Sha on Pandaria, delayed the Rebirth of the Jade Serpent. They bring the war to Pandaria's shores and the infighting between the Blood ELves and the Kirin Tor endangered the assault on the Thunder King.

I wonder if this incarnation of his story will end just like the in-game book or we'll see a darker ending with the reveal of Sha of Pride existence.
